Any Multiplayer game with lasting power and teeth for the last generation, especially shooters have been doing this.

Halo infinite being free to play and a huge dump of one time content would be absolutely terrible business and player engagement long term.

Strongly disagree. Multi-player F2P is strictly to attract an audience to play their game. These games wish they had a brand like halo.

MS could of charged $100 for halo and people would have paid because they are starving.

Also, playstation has had trouble marketing ps now even though its been a really good service. Them folding it into plus and making it one neat little package makes it a lot easier for them. The content on Now is already really good, like i said, they got a bunch of ps3 classics on it like Tokyo Jungle, MGS4, a lot of ratchet and Clank games people ask for, etc. they just don’t do a good job of marketing it.

As far as PS4 games they’ve been pretty much the gold standard

Games like Horizon, GoW, Detroit and a bunch of other are standard on there. If they over ps2,ps1, ps4, and select ps5 games its a wrap.

I’ll bring it back to disney again. Their movies make billions of dollars in the box office on their own, theres no incentive for them to put them on a streaming service for free. Netflix on the other hand spends a lot of money to make money, they aren’t gonna make 2 billion dollars off a movie, they have to throw everything they got into that service and its costly. They aren’t generating record breaking profits from it like disney is with their set up

Most people here even the people who have verbally stated they hate sony already have a playstation. They will already be on the platform for the exclusives alone, this is just another incentive to increase ps plus subscriptions which is already at 50m

Ps now wasn’t doing much on its own but combined with psplus? It makes both services far more appealing

1. Exclusives have to drop day 1
2. Backward compat not enough 90 percent of Sony system holders don't play exclusives.
3. They need to financially lockdown third party titles for day 1.
4. Will this service span PC gamers which is a big market.

Forza success and Halo made Sony realize that this shyt is legit. Forza sold close to 2.5 with early access and now have over 11 millions users in a month. Close to Sony highest sellers.
