But the huge difference between Fox and Sony is that Sony and Marvel have always had a good relationship with each other, and Fox and Marvel damn near hate each other. It wouldn't surprise me if Sony and Marvel had talks before about sharing Spidey in the MCU pre-ASM2 meltdown, cuz the Oscorp Tower was supposed to be in the NYC skyline in Avengers 1, but by the time Marvel got the official OK from Sony, the CGI-rendering of NYC was already done and Marvel didn't to pay to have it re-rendered.

Ain't no such thing as hatred when cash money is the prize breh....


Fox just dropped a steaming, wretched pile of horse manure masquerading as a FF film. They couldn't get a good movie out of THREE of the hottest young actors buzzing in Hollywood today (Michael B the Gawd, that mousy bytch from House Of Cards, and Miles Teller) with a hot shot young director coming off of one of the most critically acclaimed origin superhero stories of the past 4 years (Chronicle)


They KNOW they need help and Marvel isn't going to just give them TV rights for nothing...


There's a lot of $$$ to be made from Marvel getting FF (their first family of superheroes) and Doom (the most popular Marvel villain of all time perhaps except for Magneto) rights back. The MCU could only benefit from that. All it takes is the right amount of dollars and I guarantee you there will be a "kiss and make up" press release from those two studios

i'm sure im in the minority, but i don't fukkin want XMen to mix with the MCU. I'm sure Wolverine or Deadpool would be cool with the Avengers, but there are so few XMen I'd even care about. Fassbender and McAvoy are great in their roles, but i don't want them mixing it up with the MCU characters. The tone of the XMen universe is completely faggy and grey anyway, they'd have to totally reboot that to make it blend better.

bring on the F4 though. I know Marvel would kill it with them and their rogue's gallery. plus again, Phase 4, Fatastic 4, it writes itself. that's gonna be the big reveal at their big convention prior to Phase 4.

I'll admit that X-Men, even in MCU comic books don't really fit into the marvel universe and they probably should exist in their own universe altogether. But you need several of the characters for some of the most crucial moments in Marvel history

After watching Disney turn Daredevil and Punisher into TV piff they can't let another franchise just slip back without getting anything. So they either make another movie themselves which they cannot be too confident about or break bread with Disney to make it part of the MCU. On the FF4 front they are boxed in, they can still do their mutant thing though. This is actually just logical after the last FF4 movie bombed and the Spiderman Sony/Disney deal happened.
