One reason he could be black (in my head - without listening to the YouTube link you posted) is just a hunch I have.
Now Marvel are involved, having wanted it back all this time knowing/saying/thinking they could do it better, what more of a "boss" move would it be to not only separate themselves from the Sony-only Spidey, but prove how good they are by making an non-white, non-Peter Parker Spiderman pop off?

Considering some of the comments made in the other thread a week or so back, I'd love it if this was the case.
