Ain't nobody tryna play no gears of war multiplayer in 2025.
I don't think you hear yourself.
This is all I'm really saying people was buying gears for the game, character and story. The multiplayer was just icing, people played it because of horde mode. Which is just co-op against the NPCs, It basically created or popularized that mode/genre of play.
But the multiplayer wall bouncing with a shotty is not popular and not what people get hype for when they think gears

It's far to many other FPS out now, you release a gears multiplayer in the in the vein of the original and it would tank quicker than a brick.
Now if they do something cool with multiplayer and horde mode, that could work wonders.

I said overall, gears MP holds a fond memory in most console gamers heart because it was most of console gamers 1st mature online multiplayer shooter experience.
But most people didn't buy gears 1 or 2 for multiplayer, and by 3 it had become super competitive.
Now if you just talking multiplayer as in co op and stuff then I misunderstood and I'm wrong.
I just assume no MP means no PVP multiplayer.
no MP seems crazy. but at the same time recreating multiplayer for all three games, and having players split between all those games, and their different modes, probably wouldn't be realistic. I guess they could create one unified multiplayer mode for the whole collection, but that would still run into some of the above issues

I actually really liked the multiplayer in gears 1 & 2
Same thing happened with the Uncharted collection.
It's actually the other way around, most people bought Gears 1 and 2 for the MP. I literally don't know anyone who bought Gears and was like "Yo I can't wait to see what happens to Marcus Phoenix!
.If it wasn't the MP, it was the horde mode.
If you said Uncharted was known for it's SP over MP then I'd agree.
