I get the idea where people would consider it victim blaming, but it's not. Just become a crime exists, that doesn't mean that we have a culture based on it. I never said there's isn't anything wrong with corporate rap music. I don't even listen to most of it... the shyt I listen to isn't on the radio. At the same time, I'm not dissing an entire culture of black youth because of elitist ineffective and misguided ideas about rap and black culture.

Some of you guys are missing the point. You're caught up too much into this whole victim blaming thing. Like someone else said, it's about acoc*ntability. If you put yourself in more dangerous situations, you're more likely to suffer a dangerous consequences. Now let me state this for the slow ones, no one deserves to be raped, period. However, I've known females who have gotten into cars withs strangers, or partied and got drunk around a bunch of shady ass dudes they don't know by themselves, walked home by themselves at 3:00am in the city, and they ended up getting raped. You can't tell me these females didn't put themselves in dangerous situations, and that is their fault, period.

It's terrible that a lot of dudes are savages and take advantage of females like that, but it's up to the female to be aware of this shyt and stay safe. You can't just put yourself out there in any kind of situation and expect to be safe because rape is illegal. There are a lot of scumb bag ass people out there who are waiting for an opportunity. This is why i'm afraid of having a daughter, i'll have to teach her to be street smart and aware, and use some common sense, and i'll STILL be awake at night wondering if she's ok.

I'm not leftist. But you aren't right in what you're thinking about black people. You're simplifying everything- including urban youth culture, religion, slavery, Arabs, white people and former African cultures.

Your points make sense... but in a soft society that strives to make the men turn into feminine men and make the women not accountable for anything... your views are looked at as sexist and insensitive.
3 females I associate with, have either been raped or almost raped.. I'm looked at as wrong for pointing out the obvious facts of the situation. Most rapes can be avoided... The rape that randomly happens between people who don't know each other is so rare it's not worth talking about.

This debate has turned into the equivalent of telling a dumb bytch she dumb for staying with a man after he beats her... you're looked at as wrong because you're stating the obvious.

And about u having a daughter........... some of the girls I know who are smuts or who have been raped or who end up stripping or tricking.. had decent fathers. There's only so much you can do.
