My 3 stacks playlist follows me wherever i go. But this album is one that needs to be bumped from beginning to end.

Wow this brought back memories. Cant believe I used to listen to actual music when I was 13 (when this came out) than compared to the stuff I listened to now.

That album was one of my favs at the time. Probably haven't listened to it since the 9th-10th grade

This thread makes me love that "the love below" even more. When I first heard it when it dropped me and my boy was like it gotta be a story. We just thought it was from spread to prototype. Y a decade later I now realize the whole album is a story. Props to u dropping those gems.

i hate when people hold the solo rap album against 3k. they just know his work with Kast is better than most nikkas solo careers. if he ever decides to bless us with one you know its going to be great/classic.

if u sit back n really peep that album it went over alot of peoples heads, it was like musical

Listening to this whole album with your layout and ..I'm never listening to the album the same way again. I always thought this album was the shyt when I first heard it but this just puts it on a whole other level.

I see you forgot about The Love Below (Intro) and Love Hater but those tracks are pretty much the prelude to the main story...

You also forgot She's Alive which is pretty much the backstory to the cougar that Dre is smashing pretty much telling the story on how she is a single mother. So Dracula's Wedding is pretty much them getting married.

And if you want to get to My Favorite Things interlude I see that as a fast forward thing that highlights the highs and lows of their relationship..

So then when it gets to Take Off Your Cool and Vibrate Andre and the his lady are pretty much making their relationship stronger..if that makes any sense..

And when it gets to A Day In The Life...I see that as more of the music u hear during the credits....

How did I not catch all this!

ive always liked this album. me and my boy used to be rappin ghetto musick off of big bois album and spread off of this one back in like 8th grade

but props in this thread, never ever realized TLB was a concept album, makes me appreciate it all the more

just makes you appreciate 3 stacks more, dude made an classic emotional album and dudes like aubrey still trying to find the formula and failing

the clock was originally after the god interlude, its like stacks and god conversation, 'The clock only halts when you waltz in lieu' is god tellin stacks, u in a rush to fall in love, take your time, and think outside the box, but stacks being a man, thinkin with his dikk, he learned the hard way, fell in love fast, the finally listen to god, and found a older woman.

movin cool was originally on the greatest hits album, dre spoke on it and said it was based concept he was creating for solo album, the love below about a guy in paris lookin for love

spin had a article with dre's original tracklisting

and movin cool was right after the good day good sir skit, it made sense if u put it there, he with his potna, then spot a chick, and if u listen to movin cool, he is goin in for the kill to get the older chick, get to pink n blue, its about her age and he dont give shyt
