Actually you said: " they're has yet to be a feature length film on strong black protagonist/historical figures whom fought for their freedom". These all qualify.
Nice job disrespecting the Tuskegee Airmen, Muhammad Ali, Hurricane Carter and Jackie Robinson while you stand on their shoulders. :snoop:
I think people interested in history being portrayed dramatically would want to see that. Just guessing though. lol
by fought for freedom i meant literally combat and turned cacs into fertilizer to achieve emancipation:comeon:

It's good that they're remaking Roots. It's been 40 years, and kids today won't watch anything that isn't in HD. I saw the original Roots in the '80's in Pakistan as a little kid (probably 6 or 7) and it blew my mind. As long as it's done well, this can only be a positive thing.
THIS is why i'm in favor of the remake, as long as it's as good or better than the original!!!

Oh when's the time?
Well, you seem quick to down your fellow brothers so you would be more an army of one to maybe five, not like Nat Turner.

that time has passed for now...but if white oppression left me no choice/hope such as brothers/sisters whom endured slavery would likely be the snapping point..as the saying goes i would rather die standing than live on my knees:yeshrug:

Oh it passed?! Where you you when it was actually time?
So with the current racism going on in America you're fine but if you were around during slavery you would have snapped? Hmmm . . .so following your logic through this thread you are a coward now BUT I'm supposed to believe you would be a freedom fighter when you had less time, freedom and resources? Gotcha.

i was concieved several generations too late:yeshrug:yeah cause the current state of blacks under white supremacy is just as hopeless/unbearable toward as as slavery day:stopitslime:all i'm saying is druing during slavery we were literally treated like property, tortured, beat, and raped daily.. atleast for me that's not a life really worth livings i would have rebelled or died trying under those circumstance.:manny:

Wait...what does that have to do woth anything

He prove his point if you cant agrue your point just say you can't, don't deflect from the topic discussion
Did you see him say he doesn't respect peaceful protesters like MLK or trailblazers like the Tuskegee Airmen? What avenue is left for this Black man to do his part? Seems like only one to me. You have anything to add or you just :cape: your fellow poster? He was doing fine by himself.

I'm kind of done on the slave/injustice movies. Most are made and financed by white people and water it down. Plus I don't need a reminder of the horrors, only the young and the willfully ignorant do
