I agree. I don't like Slavery movies etc. But ROOTS is a classic. And they seem to have done this classic justice and made it epic. So I'm gonna salute and support this black excellence.

It's good that they're remaking Roots. It's been 40 years, and kids today won't watch anything that isn't in HD. I saw the original Roots in the '80's in Pakistan as a little kid (probably 6 or 7) and it blew my mind. As long as it's done well, this can only be a positive thing.

Did any of you fukkers even see roots? Kunta kept running until they chopped his foot off. Hated white folks until the end. OH so a child is questioning my blackness for a movie my parents let me watch along with eyes on the prize so I know what my people went through. It would be a cracker who seeks to devide.
