Personally, I think Al is better than he's ever been. His run the past few years has been unbelievable to me. :wow:
I’m in between what you and @shopant said. I kinda though he fell off in the mid 2010’s. After the album with Havoc I didn’t like a lot of what he was producing. I hated that Fantasy Island. I didn’t like a lot of his beats for Griselda, besides a few like 94 Ghost, Ajax, and his beats on Tana Talk 3. And I thought the EPs he produced in 2019 for Boldy and Cool Kids were real lazy. I thought Good Book 2 was kinda lazy too. And Yacht Rock 2 was cool but not crazy. Edit: Fetti was dope. I can’t hate on that one.

But I thought all 3 of his big 2020 projects (Alfredo, Tea, and Lulu) were all very good. This year could be dope too. I think this is finally the year for the album with Roc Marci.

This mix illustrates pretty well how better Alchemist was in the first half of his career than afterwards or now.

He admitted many times that he had started experimentig with new styles under the influence of madlib (and oh no).
Each to their own, but those endless loops can't be compared to his older style. One more thing - speaking of rappers he's been working last years - Those dudes are joke in comparison to the rappers he used to work with in the past.

Yo I agree with this 100%. Al always been a favorite producer of mine but there was a period where I was like yo.... but Alfredo was tremendous and also Lulu was dope so he’s back in my good graces. But yo this album DJ Muggs :whew: Rome Streetz is ON THE MAP
