Why would he take his calls? There's an investigation going on and Big had to walk on eggshells so he's not on crossing Henchmen.

The same people Big warned him about damn near killed him and unlike Pac Big couldn't hop on a plane and leave for Cali. He had every right to distance himself since Big has to move around in NY.

We got a dozen examples of Pac being reckless. He's done way worse than all the things you try to pin on Big. See the Sam Sneed situation.

He was always going to crash out which is why Big was better off not being around him.
What do u mean "why would he take his calls"? The fukk? U nikkas is terrible friends. E Money Bags visited Pac. Biggie wouldn't even take the nikka calls. They needed that man to man talk. Then. Before he gets out. All of this other shyt is being released and said. Yall gotta stop acting like Biggie made all the right decisions it's corny at this point. Yall just literally ignore all facts and make a million excuses for that nikka. They both was young and made bad decisions. Simple as that.

I'm not taking calls when the person is trying to implicate me in the crime. There is no friendship when you're dry snitching to the world that I knew about a plot for an armed robbery.

You wanted Big to go against Jimmy Henchmen for Pac's sake? He made the situation to big for everyone by putting the eyes of NYPD on them, having the world think they were involved, and making them have to navigate tension with a gangster.

How you gonna mention E Money Bags but not mention the fact that he told Pac to that Big had nothing to do with the Quad. What is there for Big to discuss with him? There's no relationship to salvage.

nikka he was calling him PRIOR to the vibe interview. What are u talking about? He called Biggie for months leading up to that Vibe interview. Its actually one of the reasons he was mad when he did the interview. The fact u didn't know that makes the rest of ur post null and void.

Damn near every NY rapper at the time was actively avoiding certain gangsters like Jack and Jimmy. Pac was actively trying to get close to them when he wasn't cut from that cloth. They saw him as an entertainer not an equal. Even Little Shawn was mad at Jack for even having him around.

No one wants to address that though. They want to keep pretending he was really like that.

Big's relationship to Puff was business not street related. He just got caught in the middle of a conflict he didn't create.

Exactly.

Jack said himself that Pac would try too hard to be around the "wrong people". And I loved Pac, but he made a lot of bad decisions that hurt him, and never seemed to be cool with people trying to steer him away from the kinda sh*t he should be nowhere near.

This is from the unreleased Vibe interview:
When we got upstairs, I was looked around, and it scared the
**** out of me.

Why?

Because Andre Harrell was there, Puffy was there, Biggies there was about
40 nikkas there. All of them had jewels on. More jewels than me. This
made me know it wasn¹t a robbery attempt. The money was upstairs. Andre
Harrell is CEO of Uptown / MCA. What the hell are they worrying about me
for when they aren¹t robbing him? You understand me? Biggie, I mean
everybody was up there, right?
I saw Jimmy, and he had this look on his
face like he was surprised to see me. If he expected me, why was he
surprised to see me? I had just beeped the buzzer and said I was coming
upstairs.
I was like You're going to have to explain to me, when I come
out of the hospital, why you set me up.

You said that to him?

That¹s what I said to him. And he said, What are you talking about, Pac?

Jimmy Henchmen was in the studio with everyone and Pac accused him of setting him up in front of everyone. That includes Big. You think Big had no reason for not accepting his calls? He was trying to avoid crossing Jimmy. How's it gonna look when Pac is on the phone asking Big if he was involved or asking about Jimmy?

Big visited him in hospital. They didn't speak because he was going into surgery or recovering from it but he still went by himself to check on him.

Now explain how Pac went on to link Big to the Quad? Why didn't he fall back after E Money Bags told him Big had nothing to do with it? He was trying to sell records off the beef.

Truth.

They didn't even know Pac was going there. Dude just showed up on his own. I always had an issue with them trying to blame Big for that. That's not even how he got down. Big always tried to look out for Pac, but Pac was gonna do what he wanted regardless.
Everyone in there studio knew what was gonna happen. They put lil. Cease on the balcony on purpose so Pac would drop his guard

Pac didn't speak to E Money Bags until AFTER he already did the interview with Vibe. Pac got locked up and contacted Biggie. BIGGIE ignored him. Pac gets the Vibe interview and vents his frustrations. E Money Bags goes to visit Pac. Pac warned him he already did the interview. After that? Biggie gets on Fab 5 Freddy. Makes fun of Pac getting shot calling him crazy n all that. Then drops Who Shot Ya. Thats how a nikka who innocent moves? That's how a FRIEND moves? fukk outta here. Lol.

About 20 years ago I worked with this older guy, he was actually a famous pencil sketch artist. But he had a lot of ties to rap music, he was from bed stuy and he would tell some stories about rap and the cats her knew. A lot of stuff he said eventually rappers came out and discussed some of the stuff he had told me basically confirming what he said. I can't remember any of it except the stuff about Big and Puff. He told me puff was dirtier than people know. Big was miserable and was planning on leaving bad boy, puff was jerking him left and right. When Big died, everything Biggie had was in puffs name. The only reason puff did right by Bigs kids is because he didn't want it getting out how dirty he was doing Big.
This is way more believable than the nonsense being said in this thread.

Pac's fam didn't let Big see him because they didn't know who they could trust from what's been put out there. So Pac was definitely outta surgery by that time & had to know Big stopped by & brought his gun back

Which lines up with Mase bringing Cam to BIG instead of Poof.

Like Greg Tate said, when Poof Diddy transitioned to being a rap star it proved aggressive mediocrity won the war over art and talent. I used to feel like I was losing my mind watching a nikka who couldn't dance, write a rhyme, or spit a ghostwritten with an ounce of style or rhythm be taken seriously.

If you have any insight into the human condition and psychology, and you watch the PE 2000 and Come With Me videos, you know you're looking at a psychopath capable of any and all evil. Come With Me in particular is a window into a maniac's mind - only the most malignant of narcissists could have conceived of that song and video.

The video begins with him dreaming of a sex scene of himself. Then he proceeds to spew insipid off-beat toddler rants over a sample of Kashmir. He jumps into the sky and his body transforms into a flock of doves. Suddenly he's floating into Times Square in a white suit while caterwauling “I cryyyyy/tears of sorrow/I diiiiie” after which he begins conducting an orchestra and scream rapping “tell me lies/time flies/close your eyes” and “I wanna fight you/fukkin bite you/I can’t stand nobody like you” and "I'm here to stay/forever/and ever/and a day/that's never/COME WITH ME"

His was such a staggering and disproportionate blend of talentlessness and grandiosity. That's a man who has zero regard for the world, the people in it, or the culture they create and sustain. Just the most contemptible and insidious sort of parasite there is.
You can throw Hate Me Now in with those too. Still can't believe Nas attached himself with that bullshyt :hhh:

nikka ain't tell him to mind his company until AFTER he already got jammed up wit the hotel and wasn't even hanging wit them nikkas no more. Biggie told him to watch hanging wit them. Yet he still hanging wit them make it make sense.

Imagine you tell your boy to mind the company he keeps, he tells them, you get beat up behind that, he catches a case, then he gets set up/shot by them. What more should you have done?

The Quad was a direct result of Pac's actions so trying to hang that on Big and Puff was always stupid. He needed to own that instead he created a scape goat.
nikka this whole argument u been disingenuous. The whole shyt. Biggie told Pac he gotta tell him something and the next time he saw him he got shot. By the time Biggie spoke to Pac bout them nikkas Pac was already jammed up for the rape case. Matter FACT. During that whole shyt Pac took the fall for Biggie's guns that was in the hotel. All this shyt show me is yall nikkas some fake ass friends. I'll be damned if I get shot up goin to visit my boy in his city and I get locked up and the nikka ignoring all my calls.

This story makes me so sad/mad. Big was gonna go on a legendary run. Would have inevitably worked with Dre and other west coast producers eventually :mjcry:
This. The sad thing is we only got RTD and LAD out of him; the latter I really don't fukk with because it has Puff's stench all over it. It makes sense that Big didn't feel that album as much because that shiny suit shyt wasn't his steez.
