Big already had a label with Un. And Biggie didn't already have "Charli Baltimore" picked out. That name came from the film, Long Kiss Goodnight starring Gina Davis who played an amnesiac assassin named Charli. Samuel L. Jackson is also in the movie. It dropped October 1996. Charli Baltimore and Biggie were already dating before the movie dropped. I think they went to see it together.

My post literally said they had the name for Charli before they met her because that's what Jay said. Jay and Dame said they wanted to get a girl to rap and have her named Charli Baltimore. I know where they got the name from. I saw the movie when it dropped.
B.I.G. didn't have any ownership in Undeas or Undertainment. His deal with Puff prevented him from having any ownership in other entities. Un started the company as a marketing agency. Un went to B.I.G. and told him he could bring Junior Mafia to him and would sign them. B.I.G. took mad artists to Un because he wanted them to not have to deal with Puff. Un was going to go with B.I.G. to do The Commission album. He was the "Uncle Paulie" that B.I.G. used to shout out on the records. They didn't have a label together. It never got to that point.

That doesn't jive with the timeline or what Charli Baltimore herself said. Biggie and Charli were together before that movie even dropped. She was already rapping when Big met her.
Undeas was in fact Big and Un's company. Untertainment was something else entirely.
The reason I said I don't think Big goes to Roc is because he was already top of food chain, and they were just getting started. Big had Undeas, and Un was already working on Untertainment, so I'm pretty sure Sony or Atlantic were gonna back up the truck to get Big. Especially Sony. Realistically, what could Big gain by signing to Roc then? Dutch, Spade & Charli have said the saw Un was getting crazy checks then, and had carte blanc. I think Sony would've given Big so much control and money he would've signed with them.

But B.I.G., Jay, Dame and recently Cease have all said the same thing. So I'm going with them.
She was already rapping in Philly, but she was going by something else. B.I.G. gave her the name. And Undeas was NOT B.I.G.'s company. Un had that company before he was even messing with B.I.G. He started that with a dude named Los from Flatbush. I knew all of these dudes back then. That had nothing to do with Biggie. The only company B.I.G. was able to have at the time was Brooklyn Mint. Which was clothes and accessories. His deal with Puff didn't allow him to be in any other entertainment companies, which is why he was suing to get off of Bad Boy.
