that would be a mistake. Bridge coaches don’t work in the nfl like it did in the nba with Doug Collins.
When the team has more talent, he won't have to say things like this. Everybody watching this team has eyes. Goff has been dogshyt and he isn't a rookie. You expect a QB in his sixth season to be able to read the field much better than Goff has this season.
i feel ya about Goff but with the kneecap comment and the tears it’s clear he wears his emotions on his sleeves.

Not everything has to be aired out but nothing is more annoying as a fan than a coach covering for a guy playing like dogshyt for months on end. Fans aren't gonna be mad at honesty and these guys are professionals. If they can't handle some criticism, they're in the wrong business.

Goff keep playing like this he gonna force Lions hand finding his replacement. His WR core may be better than they’ve shown but impossible to tell because Goff is inaccurate one read QB.

Couple more penalties on Sewell today (one was declined) plus a sack. Running game was non-existent. So many people were killing the Bengals for drafting Chase instead of Sewell and now they look ready for a playoff spot because he's been so good.

he’d look like trash here. He’d get doubled every game and Goff would be throwing him the ball. We’d have even worse protection issues cuz we’d be down 3 offensive lineman at this point (no Sewell) and we’d be complaining about protection and how Detroit always drafts wr’s and how we should build from the trenches and how Sewell was looking like a starter in Cincinnati.
Chase would be there for the next QB (just like I wanted Lamb last year). Woods and Kupp put up numbers with that scrub Gofful.
Cincy would not be 4-2 with Sewell.
If you say so. We keep talking about the next qb like Goff wasn’t the number one pick in the draft and there’s no way our future qb ends up this bad. We had another number 1 qb who had megatron who chase is not that couldn’t get us over the hump. Be patient. Sewell was a good pick. Give the rebuild time and hope for the best.
