Where does this need to tear down Umar come from? Disagreeing with him on issues is fine, but many of the attacks made in this thread are attempts to discredit him, trivialize or dismiss his stances/arguments, and belittle his supporters...What side are ya'll on?

This is why one poster attempted to derail the argument with a loaded question presuming IR was deemed bad or negative. Paint someone as the bad guy then attack them on moral grounds. Another liberal tactic.
