they're commodifying star wars too much (in my humble opinion), ever since disney took over the brand. they got to make up for what they spent to get it but geez, take you time. the brand has lasted this long, now they wanna push it like it's going out of style. treating the brand like that will make it go out of style.

i'm not too excited about this series (rogue one) either but i'll watch it whenever i get around to it. i'd see a young han series though, although i'd be mad too that it couldn't be harrison ford. after rewatching TFA (still don't REALLY like it, but i can deal with it for now) it made me want to get more into han's backstory and buy the trilogy book series they wrote for han back in the 90s about his exploits before ANH. talk about a wack death for such a historic character. he deserved better than that

Lots of people are pissed after having their time and money wasted on the force awakens after it was hyped to high heaven and given great reviews.

shyt was just as bad as any prequel.

@Sensitive Blake Griffin you're being a fakkit. TFA was hot trash. Mary Sues are lame AF, Poe shoulda been the lead with FN as his sidekick. Have Rey in a smaller role doing something else, then in 8 she can fight Phasma. Kylo vs Rey was so pathetic, I can't stomach that weak shyt.

If Poe was the rightful lead of 7, then we can handle a female lead for R1. But now it's overkill, we just dealt with a fukking Mary Sue who grew up independently and found herself in a war she didn't think she'd ever join. Wash, rinse, repeat. Ahsoka was done well, Rey was too much, and now Jyn might ruin R1 if it's all about her. Here's hoping it's an ensemble thing, and the 1st teaser just focused on her, but the next will be on Cassein Willix.

Only homos are all "TFA was fantastic!! Yay!!! Girl heroes!! I hope a girl saves me from bullies one day!!!" :stopitslime:

Ahsoka worked because at the end of the day, she was still subordinate to Ani. But Rey's role was too much, Poe could have at least escorted her to Ach-to to make sure she's ok, and stand by her when she met Luke so she wouldn't faint and fall back down that hill.

OK so the film Looks like the SW I remember again and this is going to be an infiltration/heist film? I'm in but I want to see Vader force choking the life out of the main before the film's end. I wonder if KK and LFL have the guts to make that happen?

I could care less what you think dog, I loved TFA and will be watching it over and over for years to come. Poe was supposed to die in the crash landing on Jakku so your whole idea of Poe needing to be the lead is fukking retarded. Who is this "we" talk though? Most men can handle a female lead. Most men loved Daisey Ridley as Rey. Star Wars has always been ensemble films so I really don't see what the big deal was. Kylo vs Rey was pathetic? Kylo wasn't even trying to fukking kill her. I'm not some p*ssy who needs all women to be subordinate to males in films you dikkless fakkit.
