This needs be Biden's next move if not his first power move while in office. I think in one way or another Republicans will pay for the SC abortion ban (in states where it's applied) at the voting booth in the midterms or 2024 elections.

Republicans have been trying to attack women reproduction rights for decades. They want to play chicken with their careers let them have at it.
I hope you’re right

RBG fukked Dems out of a Supreme Court pick because she wanted to retire under Hillary, instead she died under Trump. A huge percentage of Obama voters were flipped to Trump in 2016. DNC colluded against Bernie and it failed. The fact remains democrats failed to safeguard abortion rights and now we’re playing the blame game. Republicans and Democrats are both at fault here. I don’t think it’s fair to just blame individual groups of voters. Ultimately it’s up to politicians to safeguard important things. Dems are terrible at the game of politics and this is the result.
She did but trump stacked the lower courts, regardless those who stayed home is just as complicit

I don’t think so..we’re we all poor during segregation or did we just want equal things and opportunities?

y’all sound crazy saying we wouldn’t be better off with a much larger population..i don’t think you realize just how many of the children aborted over the years were black..

I don’t give a fukk about abortion let women kill they babies if they don’t want them but I cannot ignore that we hurt ourselves doing that

Black people make up 36% of the population in Mississippi. How's that working out?
Hint, not well.

Numbers mean nothing when people are still systematically opressed. More poor people having children they don't want/can't take care of just exacerbates the situation.

A lot of folks blame all the Sanders supporters for staying home and not voting for Hillary. Some try to excuse saying they thought she had enough votes. Some blame goes to them. They might have wanted Sanders but Hillary is closer to their views than Trump, should have went out and voted.

-----------
As far as this topic, something to fire up the Dems/left. Good for Dems in upcoming elections.

Good for the Dems at the polls, bad for the people because they don't have to do anything for votes. :mjlol:

It was more tongue in cheek because his post was absolute bullshyt
OK understood. Doesn't matter what RGB didn't do, or Hillary, or Obama, or Sanders.

It matters what Trump did and what this has led to.

With that in mind what are the options. Man chin is against expanding the courts and Sinema is a liability as well.

What can Democrats do to come together. To look past differences, to stop expecting things to be done immediately, and to commit to a coalition that works to bring about real change over the next 10-15 years?

I don't know if I admire it or not but white folks can be both consistent and persistent. :usure:They are finally going to get something they have been pouring time, money and effort for decades regarding abortion. Then Trump becomes president and then packed a majority conservative SCOTUS along with other federal judges.

Sorry but I think you are looking at this glass half full. :francis: What RGB didn't do does matter. Her refusing to let Obama appoint her replacement eventually allowed Trump to appoint "two" judges giving them the majority.

Did you vote for Hillary in 2016?
1. This is a stupid response.

2. do the math on progressives and Bernie supporters that voted for Hillary and Biden and there’s your answer. I’d be a literal statistical anomaly if I didn’t so that’s a dumb question to ask

Not looking at the glass's contents. What's done is done and assigned to history. I just don't see what is accomplished spending time determining who needs to be blamed.

At this point, I’m over this stuff and only concerned with the strategy going forward. Neoliberalism has failed and has brought on this push to fascism. How do we stop that?
It's impossible to stop because rise of fascism suits neoliberals, it allows them to stay in power longer while doing nothing tangible for their electorate. And like you said many times when the dam eventually breaks and fascist get into power, neoliberal elite class won't be affected by the cruel policies and they'll also get to keep their jobs as the opposition.

French elections are a perfect case study of neoliberalism aiding and abetting rise of fascism.

California recall election was also great. "Sure Newsome is a piece of shyt but Elder is a complete psycho :damn::damn::damn:"

Cut to California democrats killing universal healthcare bill without a vote :francis:
