happy for jordan is getting his shine, but hollywood is running on fumes with milking nostalgia

the era made the rocky movies what they were, which is why people didn't like rocky v even though it's more realistic and less silly than the others, because it was 90's style movie and not the spectacle from the 70's and 80's which have a style and feel that will never be duplicated

If this will be a Franchise I bet next one he becomes a Money May type cocky dude like his pops then gets humbled, and then has a rematch and wins.

C'mon man, I know this is Hollywood but that shyt is basic as hell.

on the real though they need to make it socio-politically relevant to let it resonate with a particular group (ie blax or the have nots) without alienating whitey. That's the only way this turns into a franchise and stands on its own, if it's just another underdog story

Exactly, if this does become a franchise and I hope it does, they need to be find another angle.

Although I can see Coli posters calling him a c00n when he becomes Floyd-esqe in part 3, loses, denounces the flash lifestyle and chooses Rocky's simplicity, then goes on to win the rematch

I'm ready for this. The only issue, the only issue...and it is slight...he seems to be a little to old to be starting out boxing. I mean you hit your prime around 28-35, but to be starting out, which this looks like he is, at 28-30 seems a bit of a stretch.

But i'll overlook this because i'm a big rocky fan, big MBJ fan, big Stallone fan, and the trailer looks piff.
