I preferred Cheat Codes and V Don's album to this right off the bat.

Like I mentioned, I gave it a half ass listen, but nothing grabbed my attention right away like Alc / Earl's E. Coli for example. I preferred the beats on Boldy's album last year.

I like Roc, nothing really got me right away on this album...The shyt that I'm on and Street Religion are examples of songs I like a lot that got me off production

Maybe I expected too much? I will run this back a few times and listen to other standouts.... maybe I am wrong, I'm not saying you are.

It's really the type of album you listen through all the way, without the obvious standouts you'd take for a playlist imo. It just flows like that, songs fading into the next one.

I kinda feel like this is the album Roc tried to make by himself for the last few years, but never entirely did. Not to knock his own production skills, but Alc's music is just more layered, more varied, samples weaving in and out creating a certain atmosphere.

Man...beats the shyt outta me. My guess is that it's probably a sample, but I wouldn't be surprised at all after that Cycles synth album.

Definitely one of the most unorthodox beats of his I've heard.
Best beat on the album & that’s saying a lot because that’s definitely an oddball beat but I fukk with it. He definitely went a little left field on the production on this. Almost experimental style shyt. Alchemist is a GOAT so when I say throwaways I’m talking Alchemist throwaways not that shyt is wack but man just offbeat.

I’ve only heard about half of Cheat Codes and I was really impressed :wow:
I need to get back to that album, but I’m too enamored with this Roc/ALC shyt right now. Album just flows perfectly and I think they both brought their A game :wow:

Which V Don album? I’m out the loop. :mjcry:

It really is. Definite standout on the abum and would have made a great first single.
I'm still hoping they do a video since he's picking the left field ones for singles. And fukk the beat nazi I think an all jazz drumless project with people like spitta and roc on it would be flames from Al

TT4 was my #1 album this year, until this shyt dropped.
Can you name all the others though? I feel like I must have missed a lot of albums if there are quite a few more.
shyt, the Alchemist produced Curren$y album Continuance was a much better produced album in my opinion this year :hubie:
