He can't be penalized but he can't be glorified either. It's one thing if you want to call Floyd the greatest of his era, and completely another to call him the GOAT. Saying you can't penalize the GOAT because of the era he played in is an oxymoron, because GOAT = Greatest Of All Time. So that would mean Floyd is better than everybody in this era, everybody in SRL's era, in SRR's era, etc. No boxing fan IN THEIR RIGHT MIND would ever speak such foolishness. No, people name those names because it's hard to argue Floyd being better than those guys. And the funny part is that if people didn't name those "typical" names and threw out some other names, we'd be called Floyd haters and trying to go against the grain to be different

i would say sugar ray is slightly faster and definitely has more punching power.
but i've never seen floyd get hit with the same punch twice and he has a very strong chn.
hes always adjusting and setting traps

All jokes aside, I think Floyd's an incredible boxer. When you say GOAT, you have to realize that title carries a lot of weight in a sport that's roughly 200 years old in modern history. These are my 5 favorite fighters of my era (I'm 32):

Amir Khan
Floyd Mayweather
Roy Jones Jr
Evander Holyfield
