Nothing in your post refutes anything I said... Floyd opted to not fight #1 contender Miguel Cotto, and retired for 2 years, returned came in against a guy coming up from 135 which he came in heavy against... In all that time he could've fought Cotto/Margs/Pwill/Mosely

Actually he did fight Cotto. Reason why it didn't occur earlier is because he was going to get raped financially, which he didn't want. Can't fault him. Like I said, your post reeks of some weird bitterness or love/hate.
Cotto was already out of his prime when Floyd fought him 4 years later. And he had took 2 serious beatings at the hands of Antonio Margarito and Manny Pacquiao (which in many people's opinion took his prime right out of him) before fighting Floyd.

The fight didn't occur earlier because Floyd retired for two years. Whats a better excuse to duck a fighter than to announce your retirement?? Floyd could've fought Cotto, Shane, Marg, or Pwill in that time frame, but retired instead..
