Git gud and Be Better.
Isn’t RCG1 6 stages just like FNR? :gucci:

Far as the upgrade thing. I got Kyoto(sp?) up to level 11 or 12 and she no more powerful than she was at level 1. Still takes the same amount of hits to defeat enemies.

The fact you can buy special moves in dojos and learn them automatically as you reach certain levels is dope but they don’t seem to do any more damage than a regular attack.

I compared it to SP because SP was irritating for some of the same reasons at first, how many hits it took to beat an enemy for example. But as you level up in SP, your character becomes more powerful and that same enemy you had to hit 20+ times to defeat now only requires 3-5 hits.

Another thing irritating bout this is how the enemy doesn’t have any energy/health bar, so you don’t even know when you’re close to defeating them.

Believe me, it takes a LOT for a beat ‘Em up to disappoint me.

No. Six bosses, but the stages/levels themselves are much different in that they're hella expansive and interjecting. Definitely not only 6 of them. You could say there's somewhat 6 themed areas, but even that's wrong, cuz there's multiple themed areas within one boss controlled region for most of the games' regions.

You do get more powerful with level ups AND also importantly, from first time food item usages, which are stat based and as you already mentioned, with buying new moves and learning more during level ups. It's pretty much RPG-lite in that regard, in which ways you prioritize does have actual gradual increases in your power/speed/etc. It's up to you to be creative enough to see the difference in what you're using vs. you just seeing Win Button Damage scaling.

Your complaint rather sounds...dumb, in that you're all good with SOR4 having the same amount of damage output throughout the game, but here, you're expecting a substantial difference in damage output just because you can level up a bit. The damage difference is there, but it's not in a dramatic amount from taking 20-hits to kill an enemy to 3. TF kinda beat-up game would that be to have that, lol? Your only moderately solid point in this is reg. enemies not having health bars, but that's kinda meh really. Also, there's other in-game signs of when you're close to beating reg. enemies that you apparently are not paying attention to.

I’m one of the biggest beat ‘Em up fans here if not the biggest :gucci:

I spent that whole post tombout how much I was anticipating playing it and every part of me expected to enjoy it. I’m only bout 30% thru but so far I’d def put Scott Pilgrim and Fight N Rage over this :unimpressed:

And this joint def ain’t even close to SOR4 or SOR1 for that matter

I’ll see how I feel when I’m done beating it but the fact upgrading has literally no effect on gameplay is :dwillhuh:
I don’t know how you put scot pilgram over this and your main complaint is enemies taking too many hits.

Scot pilgram was egregious with that shyt. You had to beat the absolute fukk outa everybody and they still got up :mjlol:

The 60fps patch dropped last night on consoles but not for the Switch I think. Also added new enemy attacks as well. I tried it out and this is how the game should’ve dropped lol.

I’m back on this I only finished the game with Provie and now I’m using Kunio.

Son many games brehs:why:

Go for it you know what to expect since you played the first game. I haven’t fully tested it but they added more animations to game to from what I played.

But there’s a few things that kinda suck, like loading transitioning to a different area for a few seconds and some other minor stuff but nothing close to the 30fps bug and yes that was a bug back in December
