Damn shame. Its seems like that party culture is taking kids the special moments away from being kids.
It really is sad. The end of an era, and no one seems to be fighting to preserve it.
I remember watching X-Men, Gargoyles, Jetsons, Bebe's Kids, all that sh*t
But kids aren't kids anymore, girls are 10 years old blowing other kids on the school bus and sh*t

yea this is truly said.....especially since i have a 9 month old son....these kids today will NEVER have that great saturday morn experience we had growing up...and i don't see an equivalent for them....
remember when they use to preview the new saturday morning cartoons on friday night just to get you hyped about wakin up the next day?....i remember when darkwing duck had its first preview......i was bouncin off the wall in anticipation.....

My son is going to be 3 in a few months but I've had him watching shows I grew up with on youtube and netflix, it's funny how things come full circle because as a kid my favorite cartoons and toys were TMNT and Transformers, I turn on the new or OG eps of those shows he's glued to the tv. He even watched all of the 1st TMNT movie and Transformers the Movieyea this is truly said.....especially since i have a 9 month old son....these kids today will NEVER have that great saturday morn experience we had growing up...and i don't see an equivalent for them....

So Im like yo, you know we had Turtles first right? 80s shyt son, you dont know nothing bout that TMNT life
I download the first couple seasons, throw it on a flash stick and play it on the tv for him
this lil nikka looks at me like, "dad this shyt wack!"
My face was like
No he didnt!
He loves Muppet Babies though
He be singing the songs and shyt
But maaaaaaan, that shyt hurt my heart yo. He shytted on the Turtles yall!

Breh..he ain't lyin. I'm sorry man but the new turtles cartoon just from a quality standpoint, not talking nostalgia, but strictly quality, is a much much better show. The season finale of season 2 alone is something that turtles cartoon wouldn't even approach doing. One was made to sell toys, and that's for real. They designed the toys first then put the show out because kids wouldn't buy toys without some cartoon (that was the thinking) while the other was made to revive a franchise
