You could tell he was the only Fat Boy that got any ass, always dressing in dark colors to downplay the fatness. Like yeah we some fat muufukkas, was up baby.....and leave the other 2 back on the bus.

With this and the death of Ecstasy from Whodini, it reminds you how under appreciated the first major Hip Hop acts are. Run DMC, Whodini, and the Fat Boys were the first superstars ever in Hip Hop. I think with the Golden Age of the late 80’s with Ra, Kane, KRS then Hip Hop becoming the number 1 selling music art form by the late 90’s, those acts got overlooked crazy.

And it hammers home how long hip-hop has been here... the groups that were instrumental in breaking hip-hop in on the mainstream level all include members who have passed. Jay from Run-DMC, Markie and Buff from the Fat Boys, MCA from the Beasties, Ecstacy from Whodini, Cowboy from Furious 5, Hank from Sugarhill Gang.

This track kinda fell under the radar because it used the same sample as Mase, and was released around the same time

THE MOST OUTTER REACHES OF THE COSMOS
Saw the Fat Boys at the 1985 Fresh Fest and I walked right by him before the show and didn’t realize it until my friend tapped me and said, nikka that’s Markie D... he was talking to some brawd. He had the red kangol on with the big dookie rope on! It was cool how he was just out in about enter acting with the fans before the show with no bodyguard or anyone, just by himself chilling. Run-Dmc,Whodini,Fat Boys Kurtis Blow,Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five were in the line up.This was the beginning of the Golden Era in Hip Hop and I miss it! Prince Markie Dee.... Iconic and Pioneering figure of the Legendary Fat Boys aka the The Disco 3.... God Bless You and Rest In Peace,You will never be forgotten!:banderas:
