How do you download songs from google play because YTM sucks and I want a back up? Does YTM even have a download feature?

I typed in Gucci Mane in the search... Went to artist and the nikka wasn't there but they gave a million other artists.
So, I had to type in a Gucci song, and click the 3 dots to click "go to artist"
if you uploaded any of "your own" music to gpm then there is an option in settings to dl it.
I dont know anything about ytm i havent used it
Same here... Wanted to listen to a prince song that I couldn't remember the name of but if I saw I would remember, a few prince songs came up followed by a bunch of songs with the word prince in it.This!!!

this is the best thing to do. I recently got fed up with google music because I have several accounts for different genres and lectures. now on my Mac, it keeps saying you can only log in to music manager on two accounts at once. ok, cool. but I deauthorized all accounts on this computer and still get the same message. no way around it, just fukked up. this is a current issue that many are having and posting on different support boards and no fix.
I'm slightly coming around to it.
But ine thing I hate is if I search for a song to listen to, then it plays that song and then 10 other "similar" songs. But most times I just want to hear that 1 song and nothing else after.

So i just accepted this shyt is actually happening and i gave it a honest look. Been using it for the past week.
It's not as bad as i thought it was after really using it daily. But it's still NO WHERE near as good as GPM was. I still hate YTM interface and it still has the issue with playing the music video version of songs.
Not to mention podcasts are now no longer part of the actual app since google is pushing their own "podcast app" With gpm i had everything in one place. Also my "likes" didn't transfer over.
But the main thing is all my personal songs/playlists did transfer over.
Google has me stuck because i am a avid user of Youtube Premium so i'm not going anywhere.. But i really do hate that it's making us switch.

My biggest gripe so far has been that the app is buggy. Music controls won't show up on my lock screen sometimes and connecting/disconnecting to my home mini takes a couple times

I'm out I'm going to download my library and go elsewhere I'm not being forced to pay something I've been using for free for the past 5+ years
Amazon stopped doing music locker a few years ago. The only options I'm aware of without looking it up on Wikipedia are iTunes Match/iCloud music library and YouTube Music.

I'm kind of confused....so your telling me when we switch over to YTM there will be no background pay unless we pay extra? Our accounts will no longer include YouTube premium?
