In hindsight - was is good or bad that 2Pac dissed him? He put his name in arguably the biggest diss in rap history, which raised his profile but at the same time got disrespected by Pac fans. It took years and interviews by the Outlawz to calm down the anti-Chino sentiments.

I am a big Pac fan, but as I got older I gave Chino a chance and never regretted it. Dude was ill on the mic, but unfortunately, like many other talented lyricists, he never reached mainstream success.

"Unfortunately never reached mainstream success"

Okay. That's a popular thought.

Know that to me Hip Hop is and was never started as mainstream music.

Yes, profit is important for success.

But Chino did in fact succeed. Real heads are shocked and completely fukked over this.

He had the utmost respect amongst the greats and was a family man.

He was like Tim Dog the way he stepped to Pac.

This is hip hop, and major courage.

Outside of hip hop he will go down as one of the greatest writers the world has ever seen.

PAC was great, of course.

But hip hop wise? Skills, beats, character - Chino wins.

You can't compare. They are both greats, but just cause XL wasn't mainstream that doesn't mean shyt.

Father's Day made me cry. Past 30.

It takes ALOT to do that. Only a few hip hop songs have evoked that in me.

Pure greatness.

Chino was the epitome of rapitty rap and I mean that in the best way possible. He had a unique style and signature to his music that separated him from the rest. He had a dope voice and could sing a bit which led to more personality in his shyt. He was versatile

I didn't mean that as disrespect to Chino, I was aiming at the fact that his skills should've brought him more mainstream success than it did, because it would allow him to be more known that just a remark on 2Pac's diss.

No doubt. My apologies.

I feel frustrated at times he wasn't Kendrick level known.

He deserved it completely. It's not just his battle rhymes, his whole tracks and beat selection was dope as well.

He is one of the goats for certain.

I’m still shocked he passed away. He always was one of the rappers that seemed like he took his health seriously.

Like when I heard the interview Pac did about how he was gonna whoop his ass when he saw him. I had to laugh cause Chino was in crazy shape even back than
