People did buy 4, hundred thousands in the first week, but it didn't sell as well as her other albums because it leaked weeks before it came out. None of her other albums ever leaked that early. People bought beyonce b/c of the hype (from the surprise & from her name) and b/c it didn't leak. It also had videos which are more difficult to steal, I guess.
4 is the album where she made what she wanted to make. Go watch her videos about it. It sold well, but not as good as her other albums (b/c of the leak), she decided to change and fit in. That is another reason why i am sasha album had 2 discs, she said she liked the If I were a boy Halo type songs better, but she knew people wanted to hear single ladies type pop/dance songs. I guess no one remembers that though.
Beyonce made what other people wanted to hear on her last album. She made songs like the kind that were already on the radio. Stole rihanna's whole old style on that album. Miley was like that too at the time.Got more naked and raunchy to keep up with Rihanna & the young girls.
Rihanna actually made something different, something that she wanted to make. Something that no one else is doing. Stuff that's not popular or on the radio already. Jcole did as well. If anything, you should say she coppied jcole. They did work together on her album too, but his song didn't make the cut.
Anyway, We'll see. Beyonce has an album coming out this year, supposedly.
How do you steal the style of someone who doesn't write or produce their own music? It's even more laughable because she and Beyonce often use the same writers and producers. Beyoncé's been doing raunchy songs. "Ego" is one of them. Currents was one of my fav album last year. Same ol mistakes is incredible. Im kinda mad at that cover but not mad because it will bring more attention to Kevin Parker the gawd
