to make a boy go get the film equivalent and modern model equivalent of one of these.

All this film did was create a loss of on screen film time to sell merchandise.
We are in the day where now it really are no toy stores or gateways for children. Especially for young boys to play with in general. Which shows poor attention to detail in marketing. Plus understanding the untainted morality of children. Which is called disconnect.

It is like an exact moral fiber that once existed for a generation after the assassinations of mlk and Malcolm x does not exist.
Plus an exact generation of children from the Gen of the assassination of JFK does not exist.

All that exists is some dishonorable old man.

to help his sister and find out what happened to his best friend and his son.
They did not even explain how his sister lived.

You know what I miss about the OG Star Wars movies? I miss being a kid and wanting to BE those characters. When I was little I wanted to BE Luke blowing up the Death Star or fighting Vader. I wanted to BE Han Solo flying through the asteroid field. I wanted to BE Lando blowing up the second death star.

With these new movies, I can't really see myself having ever wanted to BE any of these characters as a kid. Maybe it's just not for me anymore, which is fine.

Finn is treated like too much of a joke.
I can't relate to Rey since she's basically perfect and never ever fails, loses, or takes any L's.
Kylo Ren is too much of an edgelord.
Poe is kinda cool, but underused.

Overall, the treatment of the OG characters in these movies so far is leaving a really bitter taste in my mouth. They've rendered all of the sacrifice and the struggle of the Rebellion utterly meaningless on every level. To be fair, it's not their story anymore, but the OG characters deserve a happier ending than THIS. That's fine that they want to build up new characters, but they can still do that without tearing down all the old ones.

The only thing I'm gonna disagree with you on is putting Clones/Revenge of the Sith over Jedi. I like the idea of going into Anakin's past and seeing how he became Vader, but those prequels were straight basura IMO.

As a kid, all I did was want to fly a fighter and fight period.
It took literally me having glasses and being told you would need twenty twenty vision to fly an f14. So I totally understand what you mean and in general I believe any boy in our Gen imagined us being the og star wars characters. This new Gen has disconnect because mother's groups ruined that appeal. For what reason other hair brained androgyny for kids I don't know. All I do know is ij that disconnect they ruined this ability for children. By meddling in these movies and properties. That eventually, we are where we are.

Rian johnson is a hack. I agree with ridley. U dont give these 10 million dollar directors 200 million dollar pictures.

Star wars was the ORIGINAL marketing giant. And every 10 years they REVAMP and RERELEASE.

I missed the origibal run as i was born in 87. When in 97 the rereleases came all that old marketing and old toys were brought back out and those toys made prolly more money than the movies did. Its always been about the marketing. Dude compared vanilla ice to star wars as if the creedos of hip hop are equal to films??? This story and its marketing has ALWAYS been georges vision.

They did it again with the prequels. And now they just fukked it up. 4th time after 3 pretty much flawless iterations and they fukk up cuz this dude wanted to “do whatever HE wanted” instead what ITS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT which is a fantastical kids story with basic human understanding.

Now we get jedis who will murder children in their sleep, non sensical female bias when girls play wit barbies and boys play with lightsabres, and all the other bullshyt this faq added in for what sake. What was the point of the shyt he added in... there was no point. He did it to be different when NOONE WANTED DIFFERENT. We wanted expansion. Why are we going to the movies.
Why are we worried about sound and cGI?
