Nah, it's fair game because people trying to give the guy credit like the guy isn't the definition of "good idea, mediocre execution". Looper gets praised for being an "original" movie out of the Hollywood system, the low-budget blockbuster that could, even though there are literally dozens of Looper-type movies made outside of the system every year, some of them which are actually far better on even a far lower budget. Folks here want to act all high and mighty about the Hollywood system but they are still slaves to everything Hollywood craps out. Rian Johnson's talent lies barely beyond a passable tv-director. So is JJ Abrams but people have been fooled into thinking that because they work in movies, they belong there.Little off topic but Rian Johnson had nothing to do with Ozymandias being a decent BB episode
In that sense I agree with Ridley Scott and he does have some other good points about the money getting wasted on reshoots, but he's the wrong messenger considering he overshoots every movie and studios force him to leave half the shyt on the cutting floor. That's a pure waste of money too and even when his three hour overlong movies get cut down they're often still a bore to sit through, so he needs to sit his old long-past-his-prime ass down.

Man don't even get me started on how he fukked up Prometheus and Covenant. Jealous old ass was nervous and threw a temper tantrum when Neil Blomkamp concept art started popping up and Fox showed interest. Blomkamp walked away bc of all of the heat he was getting from Ridley and Fox decided to let him do it and what does he do.....let fukkin Damon Lindelof (the hate and fury I have for this man will never die. Eternal beef and on sight getting fukked up) rewrite a great Jon Spaihts script for that confusing horseshyt Prometheus. I wont even get into Covenant which was somehow worse (a fukkin robot responsible for creating Xenomorphs, one of the greatest movie monsters of all time..)

In actuality, he actually added to the last and only left good in the franchise after aliens. Especially, if we add in the predator versus series as well to the tally after the franchise upsetting aliens III, forever ruined the series by the death of newt. When, the character of newt is what elongated the xenomorph, weiland, Ripley mythos.
If nikkaz being completely honest about covenant and Prometheus.
Plus where they reside all time when judged accurately to the overall low quality bad after alien and aliens, the original and sequel.

Star wars was the ORIGINAL marketing giant. And every 10 years they REVAMP and RERELEASE.
I missed the origibal run as i was born in 87. When in 97 the rereleases came all that old marketing and old toys were brought back out and those toys made prolly more money than the movies did. Its always been about the marketing. Dude compared vanilla ice to star wars as if the creedos of hip hop are equal to films??? This story and its marketing has ALWAYS been georges vision.
They did it again with the prequels. And now they just fukked it up. 4th time after 3 pretty much flawless iterations and they fukk up cuz this dude wanted to “do whatever HE wanted” instead what ITS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT which is a fantastical kids story with basic human understanding.
Now we get jedis who will murder children in their sleep, non sensical female bias when girls play wit barbies and boys play with lightsabres, and all the other bullshyt this faq added in for what sake. What was the point of the shyt he added in... there was no point. He did it to be different when NOONE WANTED DIFFERENT. We wanted expansion. These dudes did not learn ANYTHING from TFA. they did a literal remake and everyone said yo hold on jj.. so they went completely opposite when they missed the fukking point alltogether.
