Rick Glaser: Mayweather v Maidana 2 did only 772k PPV buys...not 925k. Dan Rafael says high 800k.

Canelo got over 8 million to fight Alfredo Angulo after PPV factored in and for Lara:

80/20 deals on PPVs...the fight did 325k which gave Alvarez a purse of 7 million:sas2:

#CaneloCartel out here eating:ufdup:

He takes smaller upfront so he can eat off the backend revenue. The boy is a genius and having a deal where he gets 80% of all revenue from the event causes his purse (which was 1.5 million against Lara, but after revenue took him to 7 million) to increase 367%:wow:

That link says he would 3 to 7 million, they never gave a specific number

the bottom line is canelo has yet to top Mayweather Judah numbers with his PPV

there's nothing to argue you about

Rick Glaser is employed by HBO and is an HBO plant and Jim Lampley servant. I don't take anything he says serious because he wasnt out here correcting Pac's numbers against Rios when that shyt did 400k buys. He was nowhere to be found when Floyd was over at HBO either. Dont' take anything he says serious

but when will adrien CLONER even get chance to put showtime in the red? :sas2:

Adrien Broner is a MUCH bigger attraction and draw than Floyd was at the same age:umad:

Floyd didnt even become the A-Side in a PPV Main Event until he was 29 years old:sas1:

#BandCamp still has 4 years left:sas2:

Higher cost, not by much, they had 25, 50 100,150 then 300 being the highest. That's super cheap so of course your gonna get a large audience if this fight is in the MGM its half full at best

You keep bringing up MGM Grand. It only seats 16,800.

What you're saying makes NO sense, because Canelo Alvarez vs Alfredo Angulo was at the MGM Grand, and there were 14,610 people in attendance, http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...arez-dispatches-alfredo-angulo-tko-10th-round, which is 87% full.

Canelo Alvarez vs Erislandy Lara was ALSO at the MGM Grand, and there were were 14,239 people in attendance, http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id/11209193/canelo-alvarez-defeats-erislandy-lara-split-decision, which is 85% full.

Even against Joseito Lopez at the MGM Grand, there were 14,275 people in attendance, http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...defends-belt-stops-josesito-lopez-fifth-round, which is 85% full and that was with Sergio Martinez vs JCC Jr ALSO fighting on the same night a few blocks away in Vegas

You tripping breh:snoop:

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
wasn't this about PPV numbers?

anyway was the fact is Canelo drawing power has been snuffed out by losing to Floyd, he needs another big fight in a victory if he wants to step into those oscar's shoes

which he has plenty of time to do

:childplease:
Right because his drawing power wasn't snuffed out by the two TKO asswhoopings he took from Margarito and Pacquiao

Fair enough point. Although I still think the Trout fight would have sold less than the Lopez fight because of the card itself.
