Rick Glaser: Mayweather v Maidana 2 did only 772k PPV buys...not 925k. Dan Rafael says high 800k.

I'd like thank all the Floyd stans, Floyd haters, and Floyd neutrals for making this happen, and all the hardcore boxing fans, and all the casual boxing fans as well....without yall, this wouldnt be possible:to:

I'd like to thank #LWO for breeding my comedic/trolling/factual based sonnings and ether I deliver out to those who disrespectfully disagree with me:to:

I'd like to thank #SOGGang for still repping SOG strong while we have to deal with our humble, hard working, extremely talented #2P4P fighter in the world also having the curse of being the most avoided fighter we've ever seen. Even so-called feared Middleweights dont want to get this work from us, but will move up to our weight class to fight someone else, or move down to fight someone smaller:to:

We are to The Ring what Hulkamania was to the WWF in the 80s:to: Often imitated, but never duplicated, we have one hell of a leader.....my client who even though people can try and hate all they want, but there's nothing they can do on to stop the.....

As a fan of boxing why does ppv numbers matter to yall so much?

Because Floyd makes it a big deal

Example?

But yet the numbers from Manny's latest PPV arent that much different from Floyd's latest PPV:snoop:

"Kevin Iole is an award-winning veteran sportswriter, and a Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame Director of the Board. He is the national boxing and mixed martial arts reporter for Yahoo! Sports. Kevin previously covered boxing for the Las Vegas Review-Journal and other publications, writing on some of the biggest names and bouts in the sport"

He's yahoos fat Dan

Muhfukker was at the meeting with the NV commission N TMT yesterday

That means 30, 000 tickets were still purchased breh at a higher cost.

Steve Kim reported that the average ticket price for Canelo/trout was $77, so them 40,000 tickets only brought in $3million. Canelos last 2 headline fights at the MGM (angulo + lara) took in between 2.5-3million at the gate.

It's the same shyt with videogame console stanning. Or movie stans pointing to the box office numbers.

People are just trying to win, even if it's only a vicarious win....:manny:

I personally don't give a fukk, but it's understandable on that level.

I mean you can poke at the low number (by Floyd standards)but at the end of the day, everything floyd said regarding being a bigger draw than pacquaio and having all the ppv records still applies:yeshrug:

2.2 territory to 700k plus is a fall off but no pacquaio hasn't even touched 2.2 in his life

And his next ppv will b lucky to hit 100 k

Just seems like people are lookin for any thing to give Floyd a L cause he can't get one in the ring:patrice:
this...he has a year left and even if the fight with pac is made even the experts know he still goin out undefeated so the salt is at 1000...the shift in how floyd is covered in the media is only going to get worse.
PPVs number only come up when you compare Floyd's to other fighters

which you idiots won't do, because it's not debatable

I don't even know what point is trying to be made?

The fact these are considerable terrible numbers for Floyd shows how successful he is and people are just mad at the money

thats the sad part

who really expected this to on par with his other fights giving the opponent

will manny and algeri do UFC 180 numbers people gonna come out the word work defending arum
:sas1:lets see how the goalpost moves when that PPV thread drops:sas2:

If he fights Adrien Broner, he'd do 1 million. That would be the WSHH/Twitter/Facebook PPV of the decade:mjlol:

Other than that though, I dont see it...unless he doubles back and fights Canelo again:yeshrug:

If he fought Broner with a decent undercard its 2.5 easily....

If he fought Bradley with a decent undercard its 1.5 easily....

If he fought Manny with a decent undercard on Cinco de Mayo its 3.0 easliy......

This threads still going on??
:camby:
@patscorpio How can you allow thread to still be open?

Why would he close a thread just because you don't like the topic?:dwillhuh::heh:

Mods don't close threads just for the hell of it...PPV numbers are obviously an issue since all boxing reporters are talking about them, and Floyd JUST dissed Manny about PPV numbers yesterday.

Like it or not, it's a topic of discussion in Boxing in this day and age thanks to Money Mayweather:manny:
