I think 'dictate what the vision' is a bit stronger than what they are doing which is 'giving parameters'. Anyway, I was originally commenting on how well known the directors were. Marvel more recently is picking more established directors not lesser known ones like you said earlier.

Marvel has always tried to recruit directors with a good resume but most back out due to how heavy handed feige and company are.

Here's what bugs me out about studios: You initially pick a director because you're sold on their vision and it melds with yours. They hired him because he was in-line with what they wanted to do. THR is saying he walked because his vision had a bit more edge than they liked. Isn't that something you'd know beforehand? Or is it that really just something you'd see when the script pages come in?

You'd know better than anyone probably...but I'm thinking Rick's vision might have been too.....colorful for the studios taste

Nah lol I really do think him going a bit edgy freaked them out. They're really gun shy now about any thing that's not breezy or at least that's how it seems. I feel like they're going to be obsessed with tone now from here on out until they have the confidence they're on the right path and so far they don't have it.

Doubt it, the deal hasn't even been approved yet and won't be until Dec. even then they have to go through the transition process that takes 8 to 12 months
