I wouldnt be the right person to talk but i know one of my closest friends dad worked at pizza store as a manager and slowly started selling houses then got into development now lives like a king. So you dont need to necessarily start off with money just gotta be business savy and a bit of luck
How do you start off in real estate ?
I have no clue what i want to major in but I'm interested in building houses and selling them.
The thing is, I'm broke so i don't know where to start.
start off working at an agency making cold calls - meanwhile, a manager will take you under their wing and teach you the ropes (working on a file, etc).
you'll start getting a cut of the sale. do this for some time and get good at it. get your real estate license. make better money and have people work for you. then it'll be time to break off on your own...
get your broker's license.
make real money.

So how do i get to the top where I'll be able to start selling mansions ?
i gave you a general outline, but ultimately it's about how much time and effort you put into it, as is the case with anything.
you have to learn how to "hustle," and by that i mean you have to learn how to do business.
the most successful people are the type that like to do business (this to me, ultimately means to buy and or sell shyt).
it's not a normal 9-5, so this means that anyone you meet is a potential client at anytime and you're on the job, always.
pay attention, learn, become a broker and make money.
if you want to make good money, imo, you need to get your broker's license. but first you have to learn the business. if you're ambitious, you can do this in a year.
don't think about selling mansions, think about doing what it takes to get your broker's license.
one other quick note, don't let the broker or anyone close to the broker know your aim is to get a broker's license (that means you're taking money from him).
Wow, dude actually got the money.
