1. a LCL is not worse then a ACL
2. Just cause its his 2nd time don't mean shyt.like i already said Jamal Lewis tore his 3 times and was faster then ever and had a 2000 yard season
3. Carson was still a pro bowl qb after the knee injury. The elbow injury a few years later is why he fell off

I understand why you panicking breh but dude will be fine

I can't find a doctor that can confirm this. Link?

He ran a 4.38 pre-draft, correct? So he'll likely come back and run a 4.5-4.55, if his speed does regress. That's still faster than 90% of the qb's in the league and even with his knee being injured down the stretch....they still ran him and he was still getting first downs(but admittedly, some of those first downs would've been touchdowns, if he was healthy).

They can still run that offense...he just needs to improve as a pocket passer..........the injury may force him to improve.

All this does is show how shytty a organization the Redskins are, after I saw that hit I knew Washington was downplaying his injury.

On one hand I get it, your sniffing the playoffs...your probably the hottest team in the league and you don't want your run to end. As a organization though u make the tough decision and put him on the bench!!

Even as a Giants fan I want a chance to go out an beat RGIII I don't want to see his career possibly ended or at the very least severally hurt by this injury.

hopefully he'll heal fine, but none of this will matter if the shanny's dont change that playbook. the risk over reward-longterm was always disproportionate. mike vick wasnt always punch drunk either.

The rehab actually makes your knee stronger and you can gain speed

Look at AD this year

Jamal Lewis got faster and ran for 2k yards after the 3rd time he tore his knee up and had reconstructive surgery

True. Baron Davis tore his knee up in college and came back with more bounce, shyt didn't make sense. And this was back in the late 90s.I injured my left knee when I was younger and it feels stronger than my right because of all the rehab I did. After it healed I was jumping higher and running faster than before. The hardest thing was getting over the mental aspect. That is what they are doing to Drose right now, giving him mental victories by giving him more things to do little by little.

RG3 is a determined dude. He will have the same speed by.the end of the year barring a.setback.

There was a doctor on SportsCenter saying that 6-8 months is kind of optimistic for the type of surgery he had. The more realistic timeline for it should be 9-12 months

People who haven't had knee surgery talking about how RG3 is going to be slower don't know what they are talking about.
If you don't have a professional trainer, then yeah, you might come out a lot weaker. He has access to professional trainers, just like other NBA, NHL, and NFL players.
I'm not a professional athlete nor do I use a trainer, but I was able to train and rehab myself to get back to about 90%. After surgery, my left quad shrunk a lot. I felt like a normal human. My right quad got bigger because it was doing more. I felt like Ronnie Coleman. It took some time to get strength back and even out both sides.

And his 40 yard sprint time is just a gauge of speed. If he's off a couple tenths of a second, that's not a huge deal.

This. He's still going to be fast. But he has to be smarter when he runs. If he has a lane like he did against Minnesota, I still think he can run 80 yards faster than ALOT of players in the NFL.

However, Shanahan will rush him back. I mean, he's the same guy who made Terrell Davis play in the Super Bowl when it got to a point where he couldn't even SEE.

Griffin will still be a good QB, he has the smarts to becoming great, but his coaches have to protect him and let him play in the pocket. During that run of Ws the Redskins had, he proved he could make tough throws over the middle, back shoulder, and in tight windows.

Our offense isn't good enough to run with a drop back passer.

If this is the case we need a RT ASAP

i think he'll be alright. when he hurt his leg at baylor thats when i feel like he started cycling hgh, mainly for recovery, because he came back from that was when he started beasting. he will probably come back in the same way. i dont see why it would be any different

Hmm, didn't know that.
I hope he doesn't get a trainer who recommends the juice.

More realistic is 16 months. This is not the first time this knee will be split open and re-constructed. I had a friend who fukked up his ACL and LCL twice it almost took him 2 years to be back up. He can use legal steroids to heal quick but I don't know if the NFL allows that stuff

its unrealistic to think he wouldnt since its really out of his control ie there a lot of people around him with money invested in his ability to come back, so its not really his choice in a sense
