Hopefully he'll play smarter next year. He won't last long if he keeps taking big hits.

Adrian Peterson is a freak of nature. James Andrews said his knee had no wear and tear on it.
Could you provide some kind of linkage to support your claim, or should I summon master McDuck?

The word reconstructive means the knee is being re-done, which probably means he won't have that speed any more.

We had a guy who could be the goat NFL player and its now probably not going to happen.

This is probably what he means.

Dr. Andrews agreed to talk to me about AP's knee. "He runs good tread on it," he says in that reassuring Louisiana country doctor accent that the most famous athletes in the world pay premium to have available on speed dial. "The big problem that we have in the NFL is that they wear out the patellofemoral joint, where the kneecap glides on the end of the thigh bone. We even start seeing this in college, sometimes even in high school. That articulate cartilage wears early in them. But the inside of AP's patellofemoral joint looks like white glistening marble."

:whoa: major surgery on your mobile franchise QB who tore his ACL twice is going to be back in 8-10 mos. I would leave him out for 2013 and let him come back in 2014.

I was pretty sure he was going to need some kind of surgery after the Ngata hit, regardless of whether he played out the season or not. 6-8 months sounds about right.

I dunno, it sounds like the biggest issue is that the previous ACL surgery was not up to par -- the dude played on a sprained ACL all season.

I think he'll still be the fastest QB in the league when he gets a James Andrews knee.
