And it's still fumbled by the man carrying the football. A playcall could be awful but the guy who fumbles the ball is responsible for the fumble.

The Jets defense was bad in that game for sure, but the offense was even more abysmal. I could bring up the stats if you`d like, the offense absolutely put you guys in a hold and couldn't keep the defense off the field.

For the first 28 minutes of that game, which lead to a 24-0 lead for Pittsburgh this where your boys stats.

3-11 24 yards, sack, fumbled for a TD

That brought yall to 24-0 with 2 minutes left in the 2nd quarter.

Don't try and tell me Sanchez wasn't a huge part of that loss

The Jets gave up 100 yards rushing in the first half. Really was a poor performance on the defensive end.

it looks like the team gave up on him to me

or maybe they just gave up in general :manny:

Which game?

Point it out. They fought against the Titans where Sanchez stunk it up.

I think if they gave up on the field, you'd be the first to say it and not wait until 12/28 at 12:40 pm to first go that route.

The second half he played well. We just were way behind and Schotty didn't call a good game. The fact they didn't keep attacking a rookie corner on Braylon was disgusting. He threw that pick after we were down ten. Other than that, he actually played well.

We were watching different games if you thought he played well...

someone had broke this down a while ago...

First downs in the 2nd half:

7 rush attempts, 5 pass attempts (really 6 rush attempts since one was a replay of 1st down due to a holding penalty)

The 7 rush attempts:
Greene gain 7
Jones gain 12 (1st down)
Jones gain 5 (holding Jets; 1st & 20)
Jones gain 3
Jones gain 0
Jones gain 2
Jones gain 5
The 5 pass attempts:
complete gain 5
incomplete
incomplete
incomplete
interception
Second downs in the second half:

3 rush attempts, 7 pass attempts

3 rush attempts
Greene gain 7 (1st down)
Jones gain 3
Jones loss 2
6 pass attempts
complete gain 19
incomplete
complete gain 4
incomplete
incomplete
complete gain 15 (1st down; interception on next play 1st & 10)
Bro, even more than I remembered, Sanchez was atrocious when Schottenheimer let him pass on 1st & 2nd downs.

Success running on 1st or 2nd down: 4 of 9 (4 of 10 if you count the holding penalty, but the penalty wasn't because of the type of play it was, run vs pass)

And in the first half there were 2 big pass plays for the Jets and Sanchez didn't even throw both of them. One was the 80 yarder to Braylon. The other was when Brad Smith connected with Cotchery for a 45 yard gain. On that drive we got a TD, but Sanchez didn't even attempt a pass until we were already on Indy's 9 yard line.

Success passing on 1st or 2nd down: 3 of 12 (unless one considers a 4 yard pass on 2nd & 10 to be a truly "successful" play; even still that would be 4 of 12), with an interception.

After that 80 yard TD to open the 2nd quarter, Braylon didn't catch another pass. 3 incomplete pass attempts to him. If he was so open, then blame Sanchez for not throwing it his way or not hitting him when he did attempt to. But don't blame some fiction about the Jets never attempting to pass the ball on 1st or 2nd down. We passed more than we ran on 1st & 2nd downs in the 2nd half. And that doesn't even count the last drive when all 4 of our 1st/2nd downs were pass attempts.

How do u "lose" something that isnt there??

Tell me what coach could get something out of that personnel on offense :what:

Rex had his hands on this personnel. Hell he said this was the most talented team he's had.

To me, the most frustrating thing about Rex (and I'm a Rex supporter) is that he saw firsthand how far a great D can go without a good offense in Baltimore...He is truly the perfect fool to think he can win with the same formula:

Top 5 D + AT BEST middle of the pack offense

The D (where it's so cold)
rex before the season said this team was "the best team he had" stupid statements like this is why i dont give rex a pass, he brings shyt onto himself, he's delusional and hypes players up (wayne hunter, eric smith) who have no business of even being talked about

I'll never forget when Brandon Jacobs told him to his face "Time to shut up fat boy", hilarious as it was it was actually sound advice.

I don't think he lost them. I think they played to there talent level this year. Anything over 8-8 would of been overachieving in my opinion. They are a terrible offensive team and they have a decent defense. They need major changes but I think the players respect Rex and do play for him

C/S. His early success definitely helped feed into that logic and just like alot of egotistical players he couldn't handle success and started buying into all his motivational hyperbole.
