Yep.

Prometheus is only canon to Alien. Unless Scott does his own sequel to Alien, I'm just gonna separate those two from Aliens through AVP 2.
ONLY way to watch this movie is in HD 1080p or better
Weylan-Yutani was in Alien. Don't remember hearing or seeing in PredatorThe company Weyland orgin is from Predator and is in this movie called Prometheus that has Aliens in it, which ties them all cannon or not.

Prometheus has some contradictions to Aliens, iirc.
First introduced in Scott's 1979 flick Alien, the mysterious alien creature corpse nicknamed "the space jockey" was found by the crew of the Nostromo while investigating a distress signal coming from the moon LV-426.
The big guy essentially remained a mystery left behind in Alien until Prometheus, which evolved from Scott's never-ending itch to explain the creatures' origin.
It turns out the space jockey is actually a member of a race called the Engineers, who essentially created life in the universe.
First introduced in Scott's Alien, Weyland-Yutani (typically called "The Company") mostly represents the worst of big business in his vision of the future. It's a huge, profiteering company that is often up to some shady dealings. Throughout the Alien film series, it's hinted that the company is involved in some political corruption to protect its business interests.
In Prometheus we will meet Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce), who is acting CEO of the Weyland Corporation. Since Prometheus is set before the events in Alien, it apparently comes at a point before the Weyland Corporation merges with the Yutani Corp. Peter Weyland sends the Prometheus on its alien-seeking mission. We meet the mid-2000 Charles Bishop Weyland (Lance Henriksen) in 2004's Alien vs. Predator, back when the Weyland Corporation was in its infancy. Easter egg: Henriksen also played the android Bishop in Aliens.
The common theme: Those Weylands always seem to be looking for E.T.
I believe the technology that humans have in the Alien movies is predator technology with a human twist
The fact remains that Charles Weyland was a man in the alien universe and there was an android modeled in his likeness. He did indeed find a temple in Antarctica and a predator weapon was indeed delivered to Ms. Yutani.
Yep.

plus no one from the original Alien was involved with any of the other Alien and Predator movies besides Prometheus.
I kind of read around and people been coming up with this. The engineers made life all over. When it was time they unleashed that black goo to kill all. then when it was over go and collect the eggs. There is alot left unanswered and hopefully with the second one we can get a better understanding.
got a link where i can read more?
Everything already been explained. Some people just don't want to listen and continue say the same thing over and over. It's played out now.
Did you not listen to the things Holloway was saying to David? Plus David wanted to test the goo and Holloway was an easy guina pig definitely after he (holloway )said something like "he was willing to do anything" seconds before David spike his drink.why did the engineer in the beginning drink the goo?
Why did the android poison that dude?

The engineer was self sacrificing his self to create life.
I'm at work so I can't explain everything at the moment but to answer the last question the goo has different effects on different species and the dude at the beginning drunk right much of it.I see what you're saying but that takes a lot of paying attention for something that isn't well explained. During that moment I was trying to figure out why Holloway was depressed despite the fact that they had found an alien civilization. It's also confusing as David apparently knew information about the goo and the aliens. Or was he just doing everything on a hunch (which is a lazy reason but it probably is the real reason).
I'm not disagreeing with you at all, but you asking if I was paying attention and yeah I was but the movie doesn't clearly link/explain things as well as it could have.
So them drinking the goo disintegrates them? That doesn't seem consistent with what the goo does in the rest of the movie. Again, I'm not disagreeing with you, but it's not like everything is cut and dry in this movie.
everything been explained?
