She was constantly doubling over in pain and she was shooting herself up with painkillers.
As far as the mutated worm, in one of the deleted scenes, Millburn did the same but with one much smaller.

Don't try to justify that shyt b...its not humanly possible regardless of how many painkillers you take. She cut directly into her stomach muscles, you wouldn't be able to move after that. I enjoyed the movie but even a blind fan can recognize the moments.
Realize you were watching at science fiction movie?
Realize you were watching at science fiction movie?
Yea I do. But tell me what does the "sci-fi" theme have to do wit knowing how the human body works and how extreme trauma to it affects it? smh
at fans of this movie using "it's sci-fi!" as an excuse for every single plot hole, logical fallacy or poorly written/acted line of dialogue.
Fred.
How is it a plot hole though? If Superman has a fukking building land on top of him and brushes it off is that a plot hole or do we recognize the context? He's Superman, he can absorb that kind of damage.
Similar situation here. They have advanced technology. Maybe people are healing quicker for a variety of reasons. Think about the average life span just 60 years ago and how it compares to today.. life expectancy is way up. We can fight off diseases that would have killed someone 50 years ago. The common cold used to kill people all the time.
See where I'm going with this?
was Idris Elba's "accent" discussed yet? WTF was that?
Well fictional things happen in film. She gave herself a c-section, but yall acting like she wasn't in extreme pain. She could barely stay on her feet. A woman can get up and move around after having her stomach stapled up, but it's advised from them to not stress their abdomen. It's set in the near future so I'm sure medicines like painkillers are way more stronger.
