We all were, he was the one dude from the 2011 squad I thought had no chance on this 2012 one.

I don't know, because with Dixon it was never a lack of him trying hard, he always was a hard worker and a good guy, he just fukking sucked.

I didn't see much of him not fukking sucking in the pre-season. Maybe that 20+ yard TD run helped him out.

I think he was just smart and knew Harbaugh loves that versatility. It does make it interesting if him and Frank are in the backfield at the same time, a FB run could be a bit more of something people need to plan for.

Well, I look at it like this; when you're not challenged, you get comfortable. Last year, he was comfortable in his situation as the 3rd down back/special teams guy. Hunter came and took his spot for #2 and he didn't put up any fight about it.
This year, they bring in 5000 backs and they're all looking to take his spot, so he was directly challenged. He responded accordingly and will probably now make the team.
It's all about competition, and he rose to the occasion. We'll see if it translates to the regular season, though.

That's why there is no need to worry, we got the depth where if he pulls that shyt we can bring up Jenkins and then you got Crabtree, Manningham, Williams, Jenkins, Ginn.

Michael Crabtree Maximizes First Preseason

I know it's from the 49ers official site, which could be a shaky source but rave Reviews on Crabtree's pre-season. Hopefully this is the year he becomes who we thought he`d be

after the title game a lot of people thought he'd never return a meaningful punt as a 9er again. now he might be the main PR week 1 in Lambeau.

just goes to show how we shouldn't jump to conclusions. this front office will give players every opportunity to earn a spot on this team.

Harbaugh don't give 2 fukks, that's why I love him.

You can tell he's the type who`ll kill a player for something in private, but completely embrace him in public.

I honestly feel the same, Dixon is cool and all, seems like a great guy but a bad player.

well with jacobs injured and lmj nursing an injury...you never know
gore always injured at least once a season too and hes getting up there in age

I honestly dont think with our run blocking a loss of any 2-3 backs puts our season in jeopardy. thats how good our run blocking and depth is
