I`d also like to see a more threatening offense at times.
don't worry we'll see a more threatening offense once kaep is brought up to speed
Kaep is years away. Literally 2-3 of em.
And he`d be a turnover machine with that awful release that plays out in slow-mo.
He needs another year but the talent is there
SANTA CLARA -- The 49ers waived rookie offensive lineman Jason Slowey, a sixth-round draft pick from Western Oregon, as teams were required to cut to the 75-player limit.
Slowey saw limited action during the exhibition season, as the 49ers attempted to convert him to center. He missed some practices due to a leg injury and he slid further down the depth chart.
The 49ers also waived wide receiver Joe Hastings, an undrafted free agent last season who remained on the practice squad and was promoted to the 53-man roster late in the season. Hastings sustained a hamstring injury on the second day of training camp and never practiced or played in an exhibition game.
Here's a list of all the 49ers' roster moves Monday to reach the 75-player limit:
Waived
--FB Cameron Bell (Northern Illinois)
--OLB Kourtnei Brown (Clemson)
--DL Patrick Butrym (Wisconsin)
--WR Ben Hannula (San Diego)
--WR Joe Hastings (Washburn)
--DL Matthew Masifilo (Stanford)
--DB Cory Nelms (Miami)
--DB Deante' Purvis (UNLV)
--TE Joe Sawyer (Southwestern Oklahoma State)
--OL Jason Slowey (Western Oregon)
--K Giorgio Tavecchio (Cal)
--WR Brian Tyms (Florida A&M)
Reserve/Physically unable to perform
(Player ineligible for first six weeks of the regular season)
--OLB Darius Fleming (Notre Dame)
Reserve/Non-football injury list
(Player ineligible for first six weeks of the regular season)
--RB Jewel Hampton (Southern Illinois)
Oh I don't think he lacks any of the talent, but he does lack a whole lot else.
And that throwing motion needs to change, he telegraphs his passes.
This week was his best performance yet, before this nothing of him really looked that good at all.
Got my 49ers-Jets tix in the mail today

I'm surprised we cut Jason Slowey, I hope he get brought on to the practice squad but I think he gets signed elsewere. He could be a solid backup in 2 or 3 years.
