The run game has been consistent all year. We're the #2 rushing team in the league. The Bears ran for 132 on them this past game. I don't see why we wouldn't be able to run on them also.

Do you watch the team man?

Honestly, do you pay any attention to what is going on with this football team.

what he said was true tho, up until the hunter injury. our run game ranged from pretty good to dominating.

with that said, I disagree about RB assessments. jacobs is a north south runner, completely different from gore who is a vision and shifty player who utilizes lower body stregth to break tackles
gore is just not getting any younger. hes still a beast in pass pro tho

hunter is the same type of back as gore, he reminds me of 06-07 gore so much. when gore was running behind og larry allen=hunter running behind iupati or boone. hunter had fresh legs and kept them churning like gore in his prime

lmj is completely different from what weve had in hunter or gore. hes small as hell, sproles-lite flash whos best in open space

You obviously don't know shyt about this team, so you've been marked as unimportant.

Love how everyones a 49ers fan now.

.... so the fact that I posted as lukieloops on the other forum and just am too lazy to post often in here makes me a bandwagon fan....ok.

I take it you wouldn't be mad if I thought Alex Smith was a great game manager that never makes mistakes , right?

We still have a chance to win the super bowl, but we are still in the same spot - we match up well with teams w/ only offense and bad d (Green Bay, Nola) and have a harder time against teams such as New York Giants and Seattle.

If Smith plays again, which he probably won't he will lay an egg. He is a mental midget a lot like @Busby 's heart in comparison to his 300 + frame that screams out "please get in shape". Smith never had the locker room and the fact that Gawdbargh doesn't give a damn about him shows you - that "the system" is more of what Smith decent. I actually want him to play a game now so he can throw 2 picks and struggle to throw the ball 10 yards, at least Kap is willing to take chances and puts us in position to win like someone said below me is going to play defense as well as kick the ball as well. Smith plays conservative football in a league that is no longer made for that, the game passed Smith by.

@TheLukieBaby
@Busby

yall two are in the same city, e-bickering is pointless......

Jacobs is what he is. To me, the problem is he and Gore are sort of in the same class of RB in that they run between the tackles. Obviously, Gore is a lot better at it than Jacobs, but when Jacobs comes in the game there isn't any real variation.

With James, we get that speed back that Hunter displayed. James isn't as big as Hunter, so I don't know how good he'll be running inside, but off tackle/stretch/sweep running plays we should be good, and he should also be a mismatch against a LB out of the backfield. His biggest issue will be in pass protection, and believe me, when he's in the game they'll blitz to see if he knows what to do right off the bat.

against the lambs they actually ran jacobs on a outside run

Of course it was, up until the Hunter injury.

It's obvious that losing Hunter was a huge loss, I don't understand how anyone could write the past after Hunter went down.

Kaep was our leading rusher last game and Jacobs looked done and Gore looked like he was getting worn down/beat up.

LMJ please be that December surprise.

Looking forward to seeing LMJ.

Just heard the niners are 16-4 against the division since either 08 or 09. Is this true? That can't be right can it?

looking forward to LMJ , but at the same time who else believes we should just not have a punt returner as tempted as I am to have LMJ be it.

considering the way he was dropping the ball in preseason returning punts i say just let him concentrate on offense
