how did justin smith overachieve last year when his 2010 season was nearly just as good ? :wtf:

aldon was the key that set everything in motion for the pass rush. teams werent used to a dynamic pass rusher from our squad and they couldnt double team justin anymore

and yeah, aldon being a specialist really helped. he didnt have to worry much about run or coverage and just rush the fukk out of qb. hence him being much more efficient. in 500 snaps last year he had 15 sacks, 13 hits, 36 hurries...
in 480 this year he has 7 sacks, 7 htis, 18 hurries
so his efficiency became nearly twice as worse.

I agree about haralson-spelling aldon would be welcome. in general we have no olb depth. if something happens to aldon or brooks were fukked

If we don't have any injuries at their positions, I say LMJ gets playing time before the other two as he can play special teams (that's why Dixon's still active every week) :ld:

If them not playing means we healthy, I'm more than fine with it though

Yeah those 3 might never see the field, but i`ll say LMJ has the best shot just because the only way they do see the field is with injury and RB and Frank usually misses 1-2 games a year.

Hopefully none of them see the field. Even though out of the 3, i`d like to see AJ on the field than the other 2 right now.

Yea I thought AJ had a great preseason and the dudes catch radius is :ohhh:
I'd be ok if he doesn't see the field this year though, I think we'll see him should Randy retire next year. I mean I think he can catch a good amount of Alex Smiths ducks.

Looking at these last 8 games I want to see us how we do against the Bears D and Patriots O. The Bears D is gonna be a test for Alex in his decision making because they will bring pressure and the Patriots will test our pass rush and secondary.

Yeah the Bears game should be a good one, it could go a long way to determining who is the #2 seed

I think we`ll break Cutler though, especially in SF

I had us @ 10-6 before the season started, I could see us more as 11-5 now, maybe even 12-4 if we get a couple breaks

IDK if Cutler gets hot we're screwed, the key is stopping Brandon Marshall. Take him away and Cutler is very average. But Alex Smith can't dink and dunk his way through the Bears D. If he can't make big plays we lose.

I think we can beat the Pats. Our offense and defense are built to stop teams like them.

Bears haven`t beaten a good team all year, their only win over a team with a winning record was week 1 vs. Andrew Luck & the Colts.

There isn't any getting hot, Cutler will be silenced early and often.

I agree but they are playing borderline elite football, this is the one team that is BETTER than their record. They are a good road team and their defense is a good as ours. Their KR and PR is a bad matchup against our coverage teams. Their offense is better than ours and that's with Jay Cutler not really making use of all his weapons just spamming Brandon Marshall. If we don't bury this team quickly we could lose, because I can assure you they think the same thing about us. This is arguably the toughest team we will play this year.

No, they areally aren't.

They struggled big time last week against a one win Panther team, and the only reason they won is because Panthers choked it away.

Their offense is not better than ours at all.

Chicago is 25th in YPG. SF is 12th

Chicago is 29th in passing yards per game, SF is 28th

Chicago is 10th in rushing YPG, SF is 1st

The only stat that makes Chicago looks better on offense is PPG, but they're PPG is inflated becaused they don't differentiate offensive PPG from total PPG. Bears D and ST scoring more than the fukking offense practically
