That wasn't the gameplan vs yall,

It was obvious we were going to attack your weak run D, he pissed plays on you guys for sure, but today you can tell they knew this was a weak secondary and Alex destroyed it.

He can throw a ball deep, he's not manning brady or brees, but we need to stop acting like he is Pennington

It's got to be in the gameplan to hit WIDE OPEN receivers streaking downfield? :rudy:

With Alex it's all mental if he's feeling confident he usually hits his landmarks we've seen him hit VD countless of times on deep throws its a matter of him being more comfortable with his deep sideline throws that pass to Kyle was an adjustment he made and he trusted his receiver

This. Alex can make downfield throws, he just has to have more confidence and continue to work on the accuracy of such throws otherwise, he'll over throw them. So I would say he is slightly below average throwing the deep ball.

That's the most impressive thing I've seen Alex do as a QB that didn't involve Vernon.

I will say that play impressed me. Never seen him make that throw.

So is the Alex we saw yesterday due to Buffalo being shyt? (No pass rush, wide open receivers) or is Alex this good?

Want to see him do this consistently against non-shytty defenses, though.

Anyone still want to say Alex can't throw a ball deep?

Oh and how the fukk did Alex Smith MANAGE to be the top rated passer in the NFL after 5 weeks.

I know it was just the Bills, but lets be honest, this offense is going to be just fine with Alex at the helm

Defense incredible as usual, I wanted more picks from Pickspatrick though

So...you're going to make this claim based on 1 game and not the other 4 this season?

When he does this against a solid defense and doesn't have the luxury of his D allowing 3 points in 2 games then you have the right to be cocky.

You said nothing of the sort all season, yet one game against the worst D in the league and you're :leon:?

Alex played a very good game. That's it.

Matt Cassel, David Garrard, Sanchez, etc have all had better games. My point is...consistency is key.

Oh...quick question. You still think Crabs is a #4 receiver and should be cut? :steviej:

mostly the former imo. bills defense is the worst Ive seen in a while. couldnt stop the run, couldnt pressure the QB (on only 5 pressures they got alex completed one out of 4 passes), couldnt cover...couldnt tackle :heh:

also Im actually not that impressed on that particular throw...a better CB breaks that up easily. if it had more strength on it then yeah. as it was it kinda hung up but cb was in terrible position and was slow to react. kyle made a good adjustment tho

the best throw of the day was to vernon on that wheel route imo...that shyt was PERFECT in both timing and strength. vd basket caught that bytch too, swag on trillion :lolbron:

with that said, I think you can see that if (and when) our offense clicks everywhere its downright scary. we averaged 8+ ypc on the ground :wow:

It's not the throw that impressed me, it's the fact that he even attempted it. I was shocked.

I think he's hearing kaep's foosteps :manny:

kaep had total of one snap until before the loss in minny.
he's had 31 snaps in last 2 games (altho both of those got out of hand early)

alex gotta figure he should be trying to force the ball a bit more to keep himself as a starter if something like a brief injury forces the change

Kaep hasn't done anything to out pressure on Smith though, he's running gadget plays

Alex just took more shots because the pass d was the bills weakspot
