How come this shyt only has 12 coli pages?

When the ladies and Conor mix it up, we do numbers....:patrice:

Jones isn't a guy that elicits strong emotions from casual fans, either positive or negative. Most people on here (that aren't big into MMA) desperately wanted to see Conor and Ronda lose, which is why those threads were so active. Jones doesn't get people worked up like that.

Also you have to take into account that their was a boxing event and the NBA Playoffs on as well.

This was probably the best thing that could've happened for Jones, coming back to the octagon. OSP was too athletic for Jones to just walk right up to and manhandle but wasn't skilled enough to present a challenge unless Bones were to try to out box him. End result was Jones didn't have to worry about gettin punished for being indecisive and hesitant. He knew it too based on his post-fight interview.

Like jumping into the deep end for the first time in ages and needing to get your bearings without worrying too much about any legit sharks. That's why DC let that comment slip early on in the fight about knowin he missed a golden opportunity with that injury lol

I don't understand why everyone is so down. This was purely a tune up fight. Jones wasn't going to risk anything(and he never does) He still dominated the entire fight. His usual strikes still deadly. Still strong as fukk in the clinch/maintaining top control. Still looked the same to me.
My problem is that the other guy didn't show up to fight...OSP should have just let his hands go...He rocked Jones once when he let his hands go...I think the magnitude of the stage was TOO MUCH for him...

He walked in with his headphones on...I do that before a big exam, when I am feeling anxious and I don't want to hear what is going on around me...

OSP wasn't mentally ready for this fight...

Matter of fact I think Jones really took it easy on him. He really wasn't landing crazy elbows like he did against Shogun/Vera where he was trying to mash their face in. He had his elbow pressed on OSP's face while in side control. A quick brutal flurry would have ended it but he really didn't rain those hellbows. Same when he took him down in the 5th. He kind of just popped up off him. He probably likes OSP and already made a point without the need to completely smash him
It's a fight. I don't care how much you like somebody you're in there to win. Everyone always complains about point fighters or fighters that go the safe route. He's never shown mercy to any of his other opposition.

I have no idea why he didn't go for takedowns against the cage more often.

He wore him down first with the body attack and then took him down, like he always does. It's a waste of energy to go for take downs against a fresh opponent, especially if they don't get it, you end up wasting a lot of energy early in the fight
