It would help if half the time they'd get the QR code thing right in the first place. A lot of places either have the code on a flimsy ass drink menu, that they give a whole table 1 or 2 of, or the code just doesn't work.

And these are mid to high end places, I'm not even talking about the low end chain restaurants that all have them nasty card readers on the table that don't even work :hhh:

It's funny hearing people talk about how paper menus are not hygienic and perfer QR codes, and these are the same people who do not wash their hands before eating.

Using the phone they probably browsing porn with 3 hours ago, and 1 hour ago watching TikTok while taking a dump. That phone probably the dirtiest thing in the whole restaurant.

I like the QR code where you can also order from your phone and pay. Much quicker and efficient.

:yeshrug: I always hate when they want you to use a phone to order when at a resort or vacation spot, I'm not always trying to carry my phone around when I'm on vacation somewhere.

Presentation is a big deal in restaurants, so I can see how people think using QR codes is tacky in some places.

At the same time when you can immediately start ordering and then pay without waiting a long time for the waiter is also pretty dope :manny:

We landed in Panama on a Sunday evening and had an awkward back and forth with the waiter breh cause I didn't have cell service yet (only place in the whole city with a QR code menu). He finally just handed me his phone. How hard is it to have one copy on hand. Annoying every time, just have a paper menu if it's that expensive.
