I would just say, I see to a degree what @Gil Scott-Heroin was saying about this situation and I see how everyone is praying for a positive outcome with X.

So many of us are byproducts of the crack epidemic or we have dealt directly with family members who have some time of substance abuse problem.

It’s easy to call DMX selfish for not kicking his habit and so many people piled upon him over the years and yes he has been self-destructive.

But once that addiction has a hold on you, it’s so damn hard to not relapse so I won’t throw stones at X. The man has been dealing with a crack & alcohol addiction for 36 years, his entire adult life!

I would just say the psychological & physical toll it takes on the user of substance abuse is even harder on the family.

And I think that’s the reason so many people empathize with this situation because we have a “DMX” in our family. It’s deeper than music..

Yeah, it was crazy how X was addicted to crack when crack was relatively unknown back in 84.

What u mean?
Edit: nevermind. It’s that clickbating faggit Prophet Muscle doing all that fukk shyt nikkas need to report his fukkin Youtube page.
I've reported that fakkit like 20 times. He's a vulture trying to paint every black interaction as violent or negative. Youtube is wild irresponsible and racist for letting that fukk leech instagram videos and give fake descriptions.

If he's going to be a vegetable or just a shell of what he was, why are ppl praying so hard that he pulls through? If he could recover I understand but it doesn't sound likely. For who? For themselves? For him? For his loved ones? I'm not into spirituality but if you're a praying type and believe X is going to have an afterlife in paradise, why would you want him to be in a wheelchair on oxygen? He's not gonna be spitting hard 16s. Unpopular opinion I know I know

Because regardless of all that, death is forever, and most people prefer things they care about to be hear on earth with them. Not to mention he has like 20 kids who need their father.

4 minutes without oxygen to the brain causes severe brain damage. He was 30min without

Damn

If that’s true breh:francis:

How Long Can the Brain Go Without Oxygen? A Timeline
  • Between 30-180 seconds of oxygen deprivation, you may lose consciousness.
  • At the one-minute mark, brain cells begin dying.
  • At three minutes, neurons suffer more extensive damage, and lasting brain damage becomes more likely.
  • At five minutes, death becomes imminent.
  • At 10 minutes, even if the brain remains alive, a coma and lasting brain damage are almost inevitable.
  • At 15 minutes, survival becomes nearly impossible.

But that’s selfish. You keep them suffering to appease yourself rather than let them leave and be at peace.

So he’s officially out of danger?
Sadly no. He's basically only "alive" in quotation marks. He's in a vegetative state, and he's more or less already dead. He's only alive in that he's breathing, but there's no real brain activity. It's very likely they will pull the plug sooner than later. I think the vigil today has mostly been to celebrate his life and prepare the family to make the tough decision.
