Rest In Power X.

I had a sense of dread when I heard he went to the hospital this time. Glad he got right in the end but that addiction is a monster always waiting. Dude gave a lot of himself. An icon and a genuine human
It’s a tough demon to overcome. I’m still amazed he was such a religious man, especially after all the things he went through (good and bad).

X got lots of music that will be hard to play right now. He wasn't shy about putting his pain into song. I've been on a whole different wave music wise, but even still not gonna be able to play any of his stuff for the foreseeable future.

Music affects me like nothing else on this planet, and his stuff just hits different.
I feel you, I’m the same way with music, been like that since I was a kid, a baby even let my mom tell it, I just started listening to Nipsey again 2 months or so ago, when he first died I ran thru the catalog for a couple days and when it kinda settled in that he was gone I just couldn’t listen to it anymore, I legit hadn’t listened to any of his music for almost 2 years until the joint with Jay came out on the Judas and the Black Messiah Soundtrack, then I went back collecting all the loose non album tracks from the past few years and putting together a couple compilations structuring the playlists to bump like an actual album, hearing that song just really made me miss the energy around him putting out projects, certain artists affect certain kinds of people like that, X was one of those kinda artists, you had to root for him, it’s a sad day in hip hop and a big loss, the game will really miss the content of his character, there’s something he had at his core that is lacking from a lot of the “big rappers” these days.
