I have long made peace that the X that i grew to love and stan as a 10 yr old in 98 was long gone.


I was hoping for his last resurgence to be of change and more time for with his family to heal. fukk the music. But the demons won this time.

Glad I got the chance to see him perform live even tho it was a few years after his prime. His energy and everything was still awesome I wont ever forget it. His music will live on.

I remember when X was on Rap City right before It's Dark & Hell is Hot came out. He was saying how Ruff Ryders Anthem was going to be a hit and he started singing the hook.
I bought that album a few days later with my expectations being not that high honestly. I was thinking it would be a decent album. Once he started rapping on the intro I was like i'm about to be in for some shyt. To this day it's still one of the classic albums that has no skips imo.

I went to a Legends of Hip-Hop tour show at Foxwoods with Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Slick Rick, Naughty By Nature, Special Ed, and the headliner was DMX. He tour it down had everybody on their feet rocking. He was shown mad love from not only the crowd but Rakim came out during X set to show him mad love.
