I wish he worked more with Dame Grease and PQ on Flesh of My Flesh. I thought their sound was so much better for X.
Absolutely. I agree too. Apparently the album was rushed. Swizz was able to crank the beats out real fast. Lyor gave X a million dollar bonus to get a second album out the same year.

Dame and PK still had a beat each on the 2nd album. PK did the Coming From joint featuring Mary J, and Dame did Bring Your Whole Crew

The Mary J joint had one of the hardest beats on there.

These 6 days went by quick

Old heads who remember Pac being in the hospital, did those 7 days fly by quick or did it feel like time stopped?

I was 19 when Pac passed, I'm from the Bay been listening to Pac since him and Ray Luv was in a group, Digital Underground and his first album. Pac was, is and still my favorite Emcee, and I mostly played Thug Life Vol 1 and Me Against The World those are my favorite Pac Album's, every magazine with Pac on the Cover I had them

The 2nd time Pac got shot it was different we was like Pac going to make it, he was indestructible in our eyes, so everybody eyes and ear was glued to MTV News, California Music Channel and KMEL when 3 day past and Pac was still in Critical condition that's when we got worried, The Days flew by. When Pac died I never forget my Pop's knew I was a Big Pac fan shyt all he heard me playing Me Against The World, and I bullshyt you not all my pictures from Pac I took out from the magazines that hung on the wall that day all of them start falling off the wall. My Pop's came in and said Son 2pac died. I was in disbelief, I couldn't believe it, I was stunned, didn't want to believe it

I usually respect everyone's opinions, but a part of me be wanting to smack cats that be saying this dumb shyt :snoop:
Yeah you and @Soymuscle Mike nailed it. That and Capital Punishment were two of their worst moments. The cat that didn’t like X’s debut usually has some of the best taste of the crew, Beezy. I don’t know what the gripe was.

There’s not much to not like about Hell Is Hot. No matter what your taste is. It’s dark as fukk but it’s still accessible. I really can’t think of one song on there I don’t like. For My Dogs has a lot of features from cats I never heard much of after this album, but all the verses are still good.

DMX Brain Function Unchanged, Family Facing Difficult Decision

DMX has not regained any brain function nearly a week after his overdose, and the family may soon be faced with a tormenting decision ... whether to withdraw life support.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, the battery of tests performed on X Wednesday showed no improvement in brain activity since he was rushed to the hospital after suffering the OD late Friday night. As we reported, he had little brain function after being deprived of oxygen for nearly half an hour.

DMX remains in a coma and, as it was put to us, the test results are "not good." We're told the family has asked X's longtime friend and manager, Steve Rifkind, to fly to New York Friday ... another sign that hope is dwindling.

This is still one of the wildest things to me. I was 16 and I thought the same thing. Even though I liked him, Pac wasn't even my favorite. But this is how so many of us felt. "Pac got shot again? Damn that sucks, I wonder how long it'll be til he's back on his feet." It didn't even occur to me that he even could die, let alone would. It was like he was like rap Wolverine or some shyt.

they are gonna pull the plug on him....and honestly they should. If the hospital isnt letting friends and family visit then RR needs to take over that whole fukkin building but we know they wont, black outlaw bikers are not like the whiteboys.....they have no smoke for law enforcement/institutions, only each other

:wtf: they shytting on Capital Punishment too? :snoop: Good Lord

IDAHIH has not 1 skippable track IMO. Even the skits (and I usually skip skits) be hitting. It's definitely in my Top 5 for Hip-Hop albums (as well as CP). Even if you don't rate em that high, not sure how you can shyt on it. 0 wack tracks

Ruff Ryders did Dame Grease dirty. I can only tolerate a couple of songs on Flesh of my Flesh on the strength of Swizz. I wouldn't have been mad at Grease remixing that album because it would sound so much better

I'm not a religious person but if x would've been a minister I would've went to that church at least once for the experience

With all this going on, there's no doubt no denying X status at this point. This should make all these young dumb ass "rappers" get off drugs and I'm talking to you as well Dwayne Carter
