Finally played through this (played the original when it released) and it definitely holds up. I'm glad they added in the new controls because the tank controls are such a pain in the ass. The way the camera angles shifted was annoying at times but that was always part of the game's charm.

I played on normal because I didn't want to struggle through it (didn't remember how hard it was either) and I barely died. Basically never kept healing items on me.
