Game ain’t hard but it’s the type of games I grew up with

Games are totally different as far as ammo, health, saves, knowing which way to go etc

I appreciate new age gaming cause a lot of old games purposely tried to waste your time and this game does some of that
Yup. That's one of the things that if you mention, old school gamers will call you a "casual" for, but I agree with you.
My time is limited. I don't have any interest in having sections where I'm completely lost without a clear understanding of where I need to go or what I need to do next.
I don't mind taking a minute to solve a specific puzzle, or small section, but running around the same areas for 20 - 30 minutes with no real idea of what's next is stupid as hell to me for a video game.
This is a fantastic game overall, but I agree with what you said.

I was specific with what I wanted.
I specifically said I don't mind taking a minute to solve puzzles and sections.
I've bigged this game up non-stop. I haven't been completely lost or wasted any time in this game yet. The sections aren't that big to begin with so far...But I can see and agree with why someone else would feel that way because I've experienced it before to a bigger extent in other games.
The map in this game is actually incredibly useful. It tells you with icons the locations of everything you've discovered, so there's never an instance of "now I found this handle, where the hell was that room with the pipes again!?"
What this game does wrong though, is not giving you the ability to damage enemies at all times.
I understand they chose to make the knife break to limit the amount of counter attacks you have but to me, that decision was bad.
They should have done like the RE1 remake and limit the amount of counter items but keep the knife as a permanent option to do a least SOME damage to enemies.
That way, if you DO run out of ammo for whatever reason, you always have a way to move forward.

Agreed... Especially if you played the first 2 resident evils THERE WAS NO HAND HOLDING!!!! :birdman: sink or swim...
There's a thin line between "no hand holding" and "poor game design".
Not everything needs to be spelled out with a red trail on the map like Red Dead Redemption, but there doesn't need to be a complete lack of direction either.
This game does a good job of walking that line for the most part, especially with how detailed the map is.

Probably could have done my first playthrough as Leon on Hardcore. I finished last night with over 100 rounds for the handgun, 5 for the Magnum, A full flamethrower and multiple heals and knifes :russ:

I don't know how you're supposed to do it to get the full playthrough. So do I start the normal Claire playthrough or do the B story? :leostare:

Who said the puzzles are complex? :dwillhuh:
Ya'll take a simple generalization I made about games and started defending points I didn't even mention. :pachaha:
