Apples and oranges. The horror and tension are more intense in 2. 4 is more action-focused.

I’m sorry I strongly disagree I played re2 remake and then re3 remake back to back last week and re3 is objectively better in every way.
Tyrant in re2 was not scary at all after the first few times. He is easy to outrun and lost and has no other move except that slow ass punch. Nemesis was a terror with the Superman jumps and tentacles it was hard to get away from him without getting hit once
Re3 has better smoother graphics and the addition of the dodge button added a new level to gameplay. I also liked the story better, it had a better pace
I got both games on sale $10 each and it just seems a lot of people are mad they paid $70 for a short game when it came out
I can see if you dislike Jill and Carlos or just a Leon or Claire stan but re3 improved on re2 in almost every way, both great games and I fully expect re4 to better than both when I get to it

The only thing RE3 does better than RE2 is graphics and dodge button. If u like more action that's cool. But Tyrant was better than Nemesis who was scripted and easy to get around. RE2 was more atmospheric while RE3 was more action packed so that's all a matter of opinion. RE2 had FAR more content and more game. Not even close. RE3 cut a bunch of key shyt out. RE2 OG then RE2 Remake are the best survivor horror ones to me. I enjoyed RE3 Remake but they cut too many things out.
I just beat RE4 Remake on the Series X.. I enjoyed it but felt it was overrated.
Went and bought RE2 Remake just now and THIS is my vibe. Real horror shyt. Only 1 hour in and its fire already
The environment and gameplay made it better for me. I’m enjoying 4 remake but the whole situation is annoying. I can see why the action lovers may feel it’s favorite, but 2 remake is going to be my favorite until a potential remake of CV and 1 prove better.

The environment, for one, even though I did get used to the village and werewolves in 8. I’ll probably get used to this environment too.

Leon has always annoyed me in 4. RE has always been a little campy, but he gets super campy in 4.
The “non-zombies”. I get it but fukk em’.
The environment. I already mentioned I had a preference for the environment of racc00n city, the police station, etc. the game of Remake 4 is okay, but the situation going on INSIDE the game is annoying af so far.

re2 the enemies are slower and the resources being scarce make it tense
the re4 remake the enemies are fast and the resources and animations are slow-
I was getting annoyed with it till i overpowered my rifle and handgun
re4 remake is well made and i like the acting but it is not all that .
I’m doing the same lol. I run around with the red 9 and shotty just shooting the worshippers in half. The only part that was tense was trying to use the liquid nitrogen showers while waiting on the elevator.
